Runaway Brewery in Stockport ticks all the boxes for a fantastic local brewery. It's conveniently located just a short walk from the railway and bus stations, making it really easy to get to whether you're coming from near or far. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, and the on-site pizza oven is a real highlight – the pizzas are freshly made and go perfectly with their superb range of beers brewed on-site. Whether you’re into pale ales, stouts, or something a bit more adventurous, there’s plenty to choose from. On top of that, the fridge is stocked with guest beers from Beermoth, so you’re never short of options. A top spot for great beer, tasty food, and a good time. Highly recommended!

Visiting tonight on the tenth anniversary of the brewery starting there was a great atmosphere. But every night I've been in Mark and his tab have formed a lovely chilled vibe to the place. It isn't trying to be showy, they're just quietly making damn good beerFood: 4/5
Found this place thanks to my Xmas present Manchester’s best beer pubs and bars! Absolutely amazing place the taproom to the brewery which you can view through the window. A great addition to city centre Stockport. Great choice of beers served by friendly knowledgeable staff plus pizza available if you fancy a bite to eat! Will definitely be returning and would recommend a visit!

A brewery tap, with brewery on site, visible through a glass partition. They ran away from Manchester to Stockport. Manchester's loss, Stockport's gain. Runaway is part of the renewal of this area of Stockport. Visited on a wet Thursday afternoon. Good Beer, cask and craft Keg both sampled all good. Pizza available in the evening... Not sampled. It was quiet when we visited late afternoon, however soon after five it was filling up nicely, with a good after work vibe.
First visit to the brewery tap but I have had their beers many times. They are right next to the major investment that is the Stockport Transport Interchange so set to get even more popular when it opens this yesr.2024. They have two real ales on handpump plus keg versions. Casta liked the session pale ale. The wine was pricey at £6.75 for 175l. Typical brewery tap feel. They do sourdough pizza from £8 - £12 depending on topping. No cash, card only so grrrr. Parking: Town centre! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access plus toilet facilities.
I've been here several times now, and, if anything, it's getting better. Brilliant location, revitalising a great old building with Mersey views, they've cracked the ambience and vibe, with excellent, friendly service. Most importantly of all though, the beer is as good as you'll find, with something for everyone and fresh, delicious cask two pumps and keg a mighty 10.
As an independent micro brewery and bar, Runaway has a great vibe. The beers are original, tasty and awesome, the upstairs and downstairs bars have a stripped down, post industrial retro feel. When the weather is kind the outside space has plenty of tables, umbrellas and with the lean-to pizzeria along one side is great place to relax, eat, drink and socialise. With its proximity near to Stockport interchange, I would find it difficult to fault this place. A great afternoon was had by all.
