Beach Road Chippy

Great family run chippy. Always a smile and chat from the staff. Chips are great. Especially if you take them down to the beach and eat them.

I turned up just after 2pm on a Monday in July. Height of the holiday season but they were closing. Upon walking in the matriarch said "we haven't got much left " I asked if they had any chicken but she said no. Just then the old man piped up" we can do you chicken and chips" "No we can't we've got no chicken" ok thanks. It was obvious they couldn't be bothered. Even as I walked out I heard the old man say "we could have done chicken and chips" I walked round the corner to another chip shop who were open 12 till 9 and got the food I wanted there which was 2 meals. The Turkish lad running it was polite and chatty. One up for foreign workers again.

Best fish and chips we've ever had. Perfectly cooked chips with a lovely texture and the batter and fish was spot on. Highly recommend!

I went there while I was on holiday and we went the food was freshly cooked and they made sure we where happy
