Story

Beach Blanket Babylon, or BBB as it is affectionately known, was established in 1990. It comprises a prominent position in an old, impressive Georgian mansion on Ledbury Road in the heart of Notting Hill.

Famous for its unique interior design blending Boho Chic, French Country style Chateau the Baroque and Rococo, the high maximalist feel never fails to inspire the un-initiated and is known the world over as a by word for opulence and glamour.

The venue has a Gaudy-esque feel and its layout is interconnected with archways and bridges making it a very unique and fairytale-like setting. Its bespoke furnishings, chandeliers and intimate open fires complete the warm and luxurious feel.

As you walk through the imposing white doors, you enter into the bright bar, ideal for a light lunch in front of the open fire or early evening cocktails with friends. The archway to the back of the bar leads you to the restaurant whilst walking up the steps will take you to the Chapel, a semi-private enclave that is ideal for a private dinner.

The patio to the front of the mansion is perfect for a delicious al fresco lunch in the summer or a hearty winter dish in the winter months thanks to our overhead heaters and cozy blankets.

The Ballroom on the private first floor is the piece de Renaissance of BBB. With its high ceilings, bespoke artwork and chandeliers, the decadent decor and palatial charm create a unique and impressive atmosphere. This sumptuous room has played host to notorious A-list parties in the past as well as elegant private dinners. The Ballroom is ideal for private dining for up to 60 guests or elaborate Champagne and canapé receptions for up to 110.

All areas can be hired exclusively as can the venue in its entirety making it the ideal for venue for intimate drinks and dinner parties as well as more elaborate events.
