the former power plant looks perfect. the surroundings and the building itself leave you speechless. this is a place for real enjoyment. you can shop, enjoy in tastefully designed shops and space or do sports, eat. there really is something for everyone. this is an excellent example of a perfectly preserved monument of the industrial revolution
Battersea Power Station is now a shopping and leisure complex, all set inside a very comfortable, well set out spacious environment.nThe inside is very well laid out with maps on each floor so you know where you are, as I think it would be quite confusing for people on a first visit.nThere are escalators up to each floor and lifts for people who like yo use them.nThere are lots of toilets on each level.nThe restaurants are very varied to suit all tastes.nShops are mainly designer labels, with 'cheaper' shops mainly just outside. There are some really nice breweries just outside, too.nThere are various interesting things to read and see about the history of the power station and what it was used for after it closed, such as film sets.nOutside by the Thames is lovely with seating areas and things to entertain the children.nThe best part for me was lift 109.nWell worth the visit, the views of the city are amazing from the top of the chimney.nUnfortunately, it wasn't that clear a day when I went up. I still really enjoyed the experience, though.
I absolutely loved my time spent going round the shops and activities. The place is just beautiful!!! Its so amazing how they have used creatively used the space. It's huge!! We went there for the activities. We played ping pong, had lunch, and played stimulator golf for free. We went up to lift 109 to see the views of London. This shopping centre is much better than Westfield.
Great contemporary shopping centre. During the summer they always have something outside near the waterfront, activities or event days. This year it was all based around the Olympics and Paralympics so it was a beautiful setup and celebration of sport and only Olympians.nnFood Court on the top floor, with multiple restaurants to choose from and mix and match. Bounce ping pong and a Cinema on site too, activities for everyone of all ages and plenty shops for retail therapy.
Battersea Power Station is a truly remarkable destination that beautifully blends the old with the new. The iconic architecture, which once powered much of London, has been transformed into a vibrant hub of culture, shopping, and dining, without losing its industrial charm. Walking through the grand halls and outdoor spaces, you're struck by the thoughtful design that preserves the station's history while introducing modern amenities.nnThe shopping experience is diverse, with both high-end and unique boutique stores. The dining options cater to all tastes, from casual bites to fine dining, making it a perfect spot for foodies. One of the highlights is the riverfront, offering stunning views of the Thames, especially at sunset. The newly built residences and office spaces bring life to the area, creating a lively atmosphere both day and night.nnThe only drawback could be the crowds, especially on weekends, but that’s a testament to its popularity. Battersea Power Station is more than just a redeveloped space; it's a celebration of London's past and future. Whether you're a history buff, a shopper, or simply looking for a great day out, this place should be on your list.nn---
