We had a really positive experience with Batchellor Monkhouse this summer, good communication, quick on email response, kind to us when things were tense which you can’t avoid when dealing with solicitors and money and consistent in terms of who we dealt with. Good personal service which meant we didn’t feel like “just another client”

We can heartily recommend the Battle branch of Batcheller Monkhouse if you are planning on puting your house on the market.   Wendy, Lisa and their colleagues worked tirelesly to sell our house during the very slow market in 2018/19 and were always so friendly and encouraging, with a very satisfactory result. Clare Sheffield and her team have been excellent. We are a tenant and they have been very helpful whilst at the same time looking after the Landlord’s interests in a proper manner. I would certainly use them again either as a tenant or a landlord.

Never use Batchellor to manage your property. Incredibly ignorant staff who simply do not care about tenants. I spent four weeks constantly wheezing at a property waiting for a solution and nothing happened. My asthma got worse & worse while they dilly dallied around week after week, I had no option but to leave the property. The house had issues with mould in every room & running water under the house plus was not professionally cleaned prior the dust + muck was hideous yet Batchellor blamed me, expecting me to continue to wait weeks while my health deteriorated. They are now refusing to return my deposit. Avoid.

Excellent service handling the sale of a parcel of woodland in East Sussex, I would strongly recommend Batcheller Monkhouse and look forward to working with them again soon.
