Fantastic shop, wonderfully helpful staff. My kids took their bikes along to see if we could get help tightening up a seat and straightening the steering. The bloke came straight out with a spanner and sorted it. Brilliant! Basing cycles are obviously committed to helping families and kids get out and pedaling, which is really appreciated. Huge thank you

This is a longs story and I will not bore everyone with all the details. If you are buying a new bike then they are fine as they give good advice. If you want accessories then all good. If you are looking for repairs on older or obscure machines go elsewhere. They had my tandem for months - rebuilt it but the spray job from another place was faulty. I had to strip it all back to the frame and get it resprayed for free by the original re-sprayers. They gave me some parts and a £100 refund as a gesture of good will; contrast that with Basing Cycles from whom I got nothing back except platitudes so sadly will never use them again. Customer service and reputation do not have cost too much. The mechanic was also out of his depth. Took it to Pedal Pushers in Guildford - £20 later all sorted.

Had a bike fitting today for my new bike. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend it to anybody.

I went into this shop and asked to borrow a pump as I was stranded, the owner told me that will cost you £5 to borrow the pump. I will never walk into that shop again. I was never asked to put any money into a charity tin. I had to walk home as I didn't have any money on me at the time and previously I had purchased a bike from them costing over £300 !!

A huge thanks to Bryan at Basing Cycles for helping us pick the right bike for our son for Xmas. He helped us with the type and size of bike and gave us great advice on how to maintain it, clean it etc. Our son was thrilled with the Specialized Pitch we bought him and we'd certainly go back to Basing Cycles again.
