Barry Island is a fantastic day out if you plan to walk along the costal path. It really is very beautiful. There are plenty of cafes along the seafront to grab a bite to eat and a drink.
Beautiful Day! Had the best Rocky Road waffles here. Superb at the ice cream parlour next to Nessa's amusements. Glad to be able to take shade. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be in great spirits and I enjoyed the Gavin and Stacey landmarks and merchandise in the shops and also the RLNI visitor centre and huge welly outside.. you can't miss it...There are very regular trains from Cardiff Central and it is on 29mins on the train. Seems to be some interesting rides next to the beach. Sadly it was still extremely hot at 5.30pm and we had to admit defeat and get train back to Cardiff.
Beautiful beach, one of best clean and well maintained beach, good for sand walk. Nearby EV charging facilities also available.
Loads to do with plenty of food shops. Unfortunately when the tide goes out the sand turns into a muddy sludge which feels awful.
It's such a lovely walk along the beach, loads of chippys to chose from and a handful of arcades. The locals where very friendly and genuinely seemed happy.
Really amazing, great for children, loads of fun. Was extremely busy though, even in off peak season
Best day out for all ages! Great selection of fair rides from young to old, loads of arcades, food places, crazy golf. Cliff top walks, clean as always!
We really enjoyed our trip to Barry If you want to enjoy the sea bring some clothes Lots of activities for kids If someone like adventure rides Barry is one of the best
Lovely seaside town with a great beach
Barry island is the best especially if your English and your wife is welsh…go to Marcos for coffee and stroll across the beach and up onto the headland.
