From the moment we arrived we were treated to amazing service and pleasant conversation and most importantly the food was first class and cocktails too. We had a free glass of wine when my husband told them we were celebrating our anniversary. Our waitress even drove us back to our guest house 10 miles away after our taxi never showed up. We wanted to have a photo with our waitress below.
Went to barrington tonight on the opening evening. New menu concept was great. Lots of varied choice and very flexible on spend leaving you feel in control! We had the sharing plates and 8 were certainly more than enough between the two of us. Highly recommend the linguica sausage, mushroom skewers and Mac n cheese! Will be back soon guys!
This is probably the best place in Raleigh to find delicious food and high level service in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Many thanks to Mike and all the staff who made our evening so special and unforgettable. The new menus is incredible, especially the BBQ ribs, which took us to heaven! If you visit Barrington once, you will definitely coming back. Highly recommended for families with children and large companies with friends. This place is already on my top list and a must visit for sure.
Had the pleasure of a staff christmas meal here and it was fantastic. Christmas meal was served to table as sharing plates to dish from but in quantities way beyond what we were expecting. In particular the beef and pulled pork were spectacular. Having seen some of the dishes going to other tables ordered from normal menu I will definitely have to return again. Staff were also friendly and competent. Overall a fantastic experience and would wholeheartedly recommend visiting.
Absolutely fabulous food, drink and service. Couldn’t find one negative not that we were looking. Honestly can’t wait to go back and try out more of the menu! excellent value and you know the chefs love what they do! compliments to the kitchen and all of the staff.
An amazing evening, thank you so much! Food was so good - such a variety of "small" plates that were really generous actually. Service great, staff can't do enough for you, atmosphere relaxed, friendly and chilled. A great place to meet a large group of friends which is how I spent my Wednesday evening at Barringtons! I will definitely be back.
Took the whole family to Barrington. It was my first time with the kids, but my wife had been before. It was her recommendation and we all love it. Service was amazing, food was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing. Will definitely go again. P.s. I was on the non alcoholic beers and they have a great selection..
Six stars experience. The food is beyond good and, it's important to know that they keep changing the menu to bring their customers tastes from different parts of the world. If you want something local and familar, they've got it. If you want to try something exotic from central America or the far east, they've got that as well. I've eaten this restaurant's food no less than a dozen times. I guarantee you'll find it delicious. Great environment, friendly staff, reasonable prices. But they didn't have the pork belly I wanted the last time I was there, I'm going to have to go back!
Having read the reviews we'll just have to chalk our experience to them having an off day. We did receive 25% of our bill as way of apology and were told the chef was in a bad mood hence why the food was served cold. The 25% was a nice touch but I'd have much rather paid full price and not had to send back 6 meals, 3 veg and 3 chips. Although I suggested popping mine back in the microwave, I had hoped for a new plate and fresh gravy - instead, the gravy was now solidified to the plate. However, that said, the nacho starter was amazing and although the staff got a bit confused and tried to reserve the returned food without it going back to the kitchen, our server was very apologetic and we ensured she knew we were aware it was not her fault. My concern is we were one of two tables in the entire entire restaurant! I hope this was just bad timing on our behalf but knowing the chef's mood can ruin an entire meal is not a risk we'll take again.
What a great find... Tucked away, and just off the high street. Food was excellent great portion sizes and all tastes delicious Service was a little slow, but that was because it was very busy, so can't fault it either. Waitresses were excellent and very helpful, Def on my go to list for nights out now!
