Just always remember it always being there. A little Aladins cave. So many choices. From sewing to cake boards. A lot to keep you going for many years
Wonderful place to find all sorts of things necessary for knitting, sewing, needlework and all sorts of crafts. Not only supplies but the tools to make it all happen. It is a treasure trove or Alladin's cave and staff are extremely helpful and know where everything is. Prices are reasonable. Look here before trying to find something on the internet.
Claims itself to be iconic, and indeed it is. Love the atmosphere, the staff and the fantastic quality of yarn. +good deals and prices.

This shop is awesome. Not only did it have exactly the darning wool I was looking for but also a darning mushroom! Such a joy to find a really well stocked haberdashery.
Sorry, but having a poor parrot stuck in a cage on its own at the back of the shop, doesn't make for a happy shopping experience. All I could think is, poor bird, poor bird. I am not encouraging the owner to get a partner for this bird, keeping birds in cages is sort of Victorian and rather moronic these days. I would rather not shop in a place where the owner obviously has no empathy with animals.
This is a longstanding shop in the town, and for good reason - it has an extensive stock of haberdashery items. Staff are helpful if you can't find what you're looking for - 99% of the time they'll have it!
I called to see if they had what I needed in stock. Spoke with an elderly gentleman who said abruptly "I'm busy at the moment call back later" and immediately put the phone down before I could reply. He's definitely lost custom from us.
excellent service. needs investment/modernisation and some music in the store via radio would be a welcome addition
