Really disappointing. There is really not much Italian about this afternoon tea, of all the beautiful Italian ingredients they could use and we are served sweet potato fries and burgers with “Italian” cheese. Whoever designed this menu needs to pay a visit to Italy and get some inspiration. Very poor value for money, real lack of flair and presentation. 1 1/2 tomatoes on some old bread doesn’t constitute a bruschetta. So disappointing that they couldn’t be bothered to order miniature desserts clearly they were not homemade but instead just obviously cut a normal sized round dessert in half, not equally either might it add. Avocado and prosciutto rolls were on the menu but were not served to us, nor were they replaced with anything or any apology govern. We were not offered the/coffee, we had to ask for it. Overall really disappointing, as far from authentic as you could get and very poor value for money. Perhaps the money needs to be spent on the chefs rather that the bookcase to serve this on
For a party gathering, someone chosen the restaurant and it was a bit disappointing. Food was ok and nothing special. The portions were small. The staff are very friendly. That's about it.
Clean presentable place with friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The food was good, just thought it was a little pricey for pasta and pizza really, but overall would recommend for lunch. If your booking a reservation and the weather is good ask for a table on the front which over looks the canal side.
Tried the afternoon tea, which was tasty and quite filling. Atmosphere was pleasant, though the music was perhaps too loud for the afternoon as I had trouble hearing our server. Other than this however the staff were attentive and I would recommend a visit.
Went for an Italian afternoon tea, was very disappointed with the food, lacking any imagination or substance. That said the service was good. Such a shame as it's in a excellent location with lovely views of the canal. Just need to sort the menu out!
Amazing and beautiful hotel next to the cube, and very close to the town. We'll decorated and ultra sheek rooms. Has a banging little club in site too!! Funky fresh and modern this is the hotel for Birmingham!!
Lovely atmosphere, we had the Italian Afternoon tea. Nicely prepared food and excellent service. We will return again
The burger is half the size of the bun, the brownie could be used to build a house. The lemon tart has more pastry than filling... Save your time and money.

Lovely restaurant in a fantastic setting. Staff are fantastic. The food was good and the prices very reasonable. The only peculiar thing was sitting among lots of people in dressing gowns. a little off-putting . They apparently come from a spa. That's why only 4 stars.
