Staff don't have any respect for the customer and don't respect the appointment that they have given to us twice weeks ago. What is the importance of making a phone call to get a appointment? Having preferences between one client and another is clear evidence of inequality or discrimination.

If I could give no stars that would be too good for the unhelpful, incompetent staff that work at the branch. After the bereavement team failing to send the necessary documents , I popped into the branch. I waited over 40 minutes before someone became available to assist with something that was stressful and upsetting on my part. I got the impression the member of staff just didnt want to be bothered. However, I trusted she would be competent enough to deal with the situation.she assured me she had sent the documents off! How wrong I was, as after phoning the bereavement department yet again a few days later, they disclosed they hadn’t received anything from the branch. I have been told my late Mum’s documents are in a safe place , but no one really knows where. The bank manager was unhelpful and 10 days later Im still no further ahead. No one has taken responsibility for this and no one is ringing me back! Absolute disgrace.
The bank tellers are very helpful and friendly. The queue is usually too long and this obviously entails a significant period of waiting. I rated it with five stars because the employees are so lovely. The branch is closed now for refurishment. I just hope that the amount of staff has not been reduced and replaced with bank machines. This has been done in other branches and it is frustrating because it is usually better to be served by someone with whom you can have a conversation. I have recently visited Barclays and unfortunately there is now only one or two bank tellers. Although machines are available, I would rather speak to a human being. Although members of staff are present to assist with the machines, I do not know why these changs were made. I hope that no one lost his or her job as a result of the changes. The employees were so lovely and caring. Why should I use a machine when members of staff are so nice? Following my prior post, I thought about giving a "one star vote" because of the machines. The staff, however, are lovely and i just want them to know how much they are appreciated and most people and to be served by a smiling and knowledgeable person.
A rather rude old head mistress cashier works at this branch and her 1970's mannerism is appalling. She has zero customer service skills and her personality is non-existant. How on earth she has lasted so long is beyond me. She makes you feel like dirt.
I never saw a bank refusing to take cash. Well, it's done today here. Shame, you've just lost a client, Barclays.
Service was slow and employee that helped me very rude.
