Banks are they getting worse? Barclays You are kidding me how bad your customer service is, 3 calls now almost an hour wait each time to speak to someone. When you finally get to speak to a representative they put you on hold and twice now get disconnected when they return...is this deliberate as it's not enough you want to close stores you want people using your app? No call back after getting disconnected..!!?? You think you'd get a call back after being disconnected er NO! Ridiculously long messages before you get to choose options. Pointless questions of information which assist Zero to the call or customer experience, as asked all the questions again. Music in background not compressed so constantly have to alter the volume on mobile. You close stores and want people to use remotely; employ more staff!!?? It was administrating the bounce back loan being delays in customer services even though all automated. What's the excuse now to delays in calls How bad can this really get!!!!???
Clinical banking experience, layout is poor, very few actual humans in the branch but lots of automated banking terminals and if they can't do what you want, then expect to be put into a queue where the actual staff sit - but often only one person serving so expect to be waiting ages. If you need to pay in coins, the machines can't handle it so you will have to queue. Hadn't been in a while but this is really awful cost-cutting and penny-pinching, it's not like they can't afford to provide a decent customer experience but I guess they have no reason to want to...
Went to Southampton Above Bar Barclays to open an account to be greeted by the most unhelpful person, totally disinterested, unwilling to help in fact I don't think she was evening listening to us, a totally blank face. Whoever the lady was on the front desk who's name began with N at 11.59am on Saturday 18th February certainly needs training in customer services. We will not be returning. Appalling service. If I could rate it zero stars I would!
As Barclays close bank after bank, this is now the one of only the ones left, and it stills limits its customer service availability to a few hours a day. The corporation runs its services with contempt for the customer, for the convenience of profit. Very disappointing and boarder if on immoral. Time to find another bank.
Awful branch, wait 40 mins just to be told to sit down and wait another 30. All I wanted to do is check if my account had been opened/money transferred. One day this can be done on the front desk and on another day someone refuses. Staff are also very rude and woman on reception just looked so confused when I explained what I needed. More training needed. I will be moving my account elsewhere.
Absolutely do not understand why the staff there work there seeing as they were the most unhelpful. Went in to set up a joint account, to be told that the other half has to have a current account with them and to do it online. Come back to do it online, to be told neither of us need an existing account and to go into the branch for ID checks - the whole reason we wanted to do it in person in the first place. This was following a 30-minute queue to even get to the desk.
Since closing Shirley branch the customer service has been awful in this town branch as it to busy. Go on line they say! On Saturday's there are 20/30 people waiting for an advisor as customer service desk is shut. This is crazy over 30 year's & it's definitely time to look for a bank that actually cares about their customers !
Absolutely terrible, long queues, staff stressed out, etc Barclays Bank make billions in profits, and they really do not care for their customers, or staff. It is such a shame, as a customer of over 40 yrs, I would change banks, yet it is such a pain, so really held to ransom ....
Seriously unimpressed, no counter service, so couldn’t take out the money we wanted. Counter only open during weekdays - what about people who work??? No local banks to help, no direct phone number, - wasted trip…. Awful….
Not very friendly - almost non existing staff available - transaction banking machine are fine but most custome struggle using them which clogs the system
