This is by far the worst Barclays branch in the UK. Rude, unhelpful staff who are simply unqualified to be working in banking. Shoddily turned out on trainers and slacks and make it seem like hard work to do the simplest tasks. The desks are never open and staff are usually hiding upstairs to avoid actually doing anything. I simply can’t believe Barclays lends its name to this bank. I have now switched to Lloyds for my UK banking and they are much more efficient.
Used several times. Helpful and friendly team. Customers are most of the time annoying, demanding, pretending absurd things but they stay on top of it.
Visited for a relative. Staff couldn't be bothered. Ignored you and were unhelpful. You were treated as a hindrance. Glad that I bank elsewhere. I would have scored zero if I could.
I shall not be using this bank again. This is a branch of a bank which funds climate chaos through massive investments in fossil fuels. I found it very easy switching to another , more ethical bank!
Counter closed after being advised by Barclays customer service that I could go to any branch and pay my £500 of coins in. No staff in the building to assist, Not often I need to go the branch but clearly they don't consider all customers needs when making decisions. I shall be moving to another bank. Gets 1 star because it won't let you post a review with 0
Went today told will be cash machinces only soon,staff making old people use cash machince better to have staff behind counter than staff getting in your face when there are going to have no job,half things you need to do ,paid check in got letter none payment ,draw large amount of cash only so much a day a lot of coinage no machine to take need Barclays to say counter will stay open we are the customer
Well what can I say about being greeted this afternoon in Bury at the door by 'Katie C ' other than this young lady excelled with her customer service skills and warm and friendly, engaging personality. She is a credit to Barclays Bank, 'Katie C ' helped me sort paying my Barclays Credit Card Bill , infact she was so efficient it has made me consider switching Banks Thanks again ' Katie C ' your a star in my eyes !
I was so delighted with the customer service I received off one of your representivesJemma. I was paying a cheque via the machine and Jemma gave me advice so then I managed to sort it out could not ask for a more polite and helpful person.
Having grown up in Bury I know what lovely people they are but I have to say I will not be using Barclays Bank or atms in Bury or anywhere ever again. Barclays uses its customers savings and pension funds to fund extraction of fossil fuels in remote regions of the planet, often dirty tar sands oil too! Often Barclays customers are unaware of this use of their money. I'd recommend switching to a bank that takes care of the planet as it takes care of its customers.
I had to pay in some takings today as a favour for a friend, and was dreading it as I'd heard about all the queuing outside banks. My local Barclays queue moved very quickly with two lovely ladies on the door guiding people to the right place. The lady at the counter was so pleasant it left me feeling quite taken aback. I've never had a pleasant experience at a bank before, the local Barclays I'm referring to is on The Rock in Bury
