If you are a meat lover who respects premium food at a reasonable price then you have come to the right place. Whatever dish you choose you'll be amazed by the quality and the tender these dishes receive by the chefs. You won't regret every cent spent. I'll definitely visit it again. The stuff is very polite and always there to serve you. Very well done everybody! Vegetarian options: No vegan options. Sorry. Kid-friendliness: Not too friendly for kids since there is no playground. Parking: It has it's own private parking free of charge.
Base grill is one of the top restaurants for meat lovers in Athens. They offer a great selection of meat and the service is very good. Very popular with locals. Highly recommended and you should definitely try the chips with eggs, to most popular non meat dish
The meat lover's favourite place. I would definitely recommend booking a few days earlier, maybe also ask for them to reserve you a specific piece of meat, since they might run out, especially the most popular ones like the T-Bone or Porterhouse steaks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, so ask any questions and they are happy to help and explain. We eventually got the picanha and the Brazilian steak. Both were amazingly grilled and fairly priced regarding their quality. There is also someone helping with parking in case you arrive by car. There is also a great desert offered.
Good Food, quality meat, big portions, prices are all right! Service is lacking a little bit as the waiters are a bit slow and you need to tell them a few times if you need anything. Otherwise I would recommend the restaurant.
I fell in love with the salad but other than that everything was quite nice. It’s always very crowded so don’t forget to book a table folks. We paid 120 euros in total for everything in the pictures with a bottle of wine.
A place that worth a visit if your a meat lover! The dishes starting with the fried potatoes and eggs until the steaks are amazing.. me personally I avoid the picanha!
Only salt comes from sea in this meat restaurant. The best meat, salad, fried potatoes, squash and eggplant with wide wine options.
A very popular restaurant for Athenians who love meat! Apparently everyone either knows about it, been there or are regulars! It’s booked for days so have to book in advance, especially if you want to go in the evening or weekend. The food was amazing, the service was great and the menu decently priced. Highly recommended!
Basegrill? More like Basic Grill. I had really, really high expectations coming here. It seemed like everyone was praising the meat quality and general vibe. Unfortunately, I should have taken their enthusiasm with a grain of salt. Prices are not high, it’s what you expect to pay for such meat. The sad part is that the meat itself is not very good, so the overall value for money proposition is subpar. We ordered the picanha and rib-eye and both lacked the tenderness, juiciness and general “love” these kinds of parts deserve. Service was on the verge of disinterest and the place itself seemed like a glorified tavern. The funny thing is that it was FULL on a Monday night so I’m guessing they must do something really good. I guess I’ll never find it and it’s definitely not their “Eggs with Stick potatoes”.
The whole experience was positive. Very nice atmosphere and spacey. It has a different character from the other Greek restaurants, you could also say it has a business wise environment. Minus one star in the service because if you are sitting in a table which isn't in the line of site of the waiters you need to raise your hand a couple of times, even to get up. Minus one star for the taste of the food. Great meet needs excellent way of cooking to extract all the flavors. Fried potatoes with eggs. Couldn't understand the hype for this plate. Very common in taste.
