Highly recommend this restaurant! Their fish and chips are great and the portions are very generous. We had a cod and a haddock both of which came with lots of chips that we were unable to finish. It is not expensive and the staff is friendly. Definitely will be coming back next time we are in Brighton.
I had a lovely cod and chips here for lunch on a day out in Brighton! Honestly, one of the best fish and chips I've had in a while! I'm glad I went for the regular size as there were plenty of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside chips which I really enjoyed! The fillet of cod was of good size and along with the not too oily batter was of very high standard! The complimentary tartar sauce was perfect also! I managed to finish it all....but only just! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming! So if you're in Brighton and want a top notch fish and chips with value for money then look no further than Bankers! Easy 5 stars! : Parking: Parking can be found down the side road where the restaurant is situated and across the street too. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has stair-free access.
Excellent fish & chip shop with high quality ingredients used and expertly cooked. I even enjoyed the mushy peas which is unusual for me. The decor was tasteful and the toilets clean, which is always a bonus.Food: 4/5
I popped into the takeaway side of Bankers after a couple of drinks. We ordered a chicken burger which was a breaded chicken breast and a fish cake with a side of chips. It was very yummy indeed! My partner said it was the best fishcake she ever had! I had a bite and it was very nice. Really chunky with nice fish and lots of good potato. The chips had a nice taste of fresh potatoes. Thanks Bankers. We will be back!
Highly recommended by me. My 3rd stop in Brighton for fish and chips and this was the best I’ve had in brighton. The chips were fantastic, freshly prepared so you do wait a bit, so was the fishcod. Bigger portions than I expected too. Really good batter and perfectly cooked fish. If you were gona have 1 fish n chips in brighton it should be this 1.
Delicious and fresh fish. Big portions. Friendly and attentive staff. Restaurant can get busy at times so make sure to plan your visit well. Their fries could be crispier and fish should be accompanied by mashed peas. Restaurant interior is really unexciting.
A must in Brighton. Forget all the fish and chips on the seafront, all the other places: this is it. Abundant, tasty, not overfried, not oily, not soggy: just right. A very nice place, friendly and warm, we're to eat a staple of English food. Reasonably priced, quick service, and especially caring towards seniors with their offers. Wow.
This is another return to Bankers after the COVID enforced break. Once again a wonderful experience with Liza as a brilliant hostess. We continue to recommend this place and it has never proved is wrong. Fantastic food, great setting. Come see and try for yourself.
Had a beautiful long weekend with some close friends...I can honestly say I did not want to leave. The holiday home was the best and as for Bankers...beautiful fish and chips and an excellent salad....service was on point...we all said we will be coming back to Brighton real soon. Fish was fresh, and the batter was melt in the mouth yummmmm...
Honestly the best fish and chips in my life. Exquisite Haddock. Fresh potatoes and you even choose sweet potatoes if you like. The portion of fish is big. Since ai found this place we always come here when in Brighton.
