Pros and cons. On the plus side it has a massive range of items. In a part of the country where it’s somewhat of a trek to get to the next big store, having this in Ross is an asset for the town. It might not have exactly what you want, but if you can’t wait for an Amazon delivery and “good enough” will do, they probably have it. Also some good bargains. Particularly food items, multipack of soft drinks, seasonal offers that kind of thing.nBUT.. not everything is such a bargain, many can be found cheaper elsewhere so it’s worth checking before you buy. Though there comes a second problem.. I can imagine keeping on top of an ever changing stock profile is tough, but I’ve found many times there is either no price on the item/shelf, or the price there is for something else. They could really do with keeping on top of this. Also the store is so dark and cold! I guess the owners see heating and lighting as a frivolity customers and the poor staff can do without as it’s a pure hit to their bottom line, but compared to any other shop it’s certainly a negative hit to their bottom line experience.
Has really gone downhill over the past few years. It has been a while, went regularly back when it was first opened and there were real bargains to be had. Now just a generic shop, no better than b&m. Lots of the products more expensive than tesco. Such a shame.
Went here on Saturday it was not as good as I thought as most of the food was put of date and was not very cheap you can get most of it cheaper in farmfoods or homebargains cheaper, but they sell everything you need including fish
Good place to come and find grocery bargins, but stuff goes quickly, so what they have today may be gone by tomorrow, so its kind of difficult to recommend particular items. Just recommend visiting the place and taking a potluck.
I bought a tank for a axolotl and was told all I needed to do was set the tank up and add the dechlorinator and salt to the water and I could come back the next day to buy the axolotl which is what I did. I have found out that I actually need to cycle the tank before adding the axolotl which now means I have to tub the axolotl and do 100% daily cleans on the tub whilst I'm cycling the tank. So I'm really not happy or impressed with the information I recieved from a member of staff at your ross store and I also phoned and asked if I needed to check the water before buying the axolotl and was told if I have added the dechlorinator and salts then I won't need to. This information could of poisoned or even killed the axolotl if I had not found out about cycling the tank. I suggest your staff start giving out the correct information!
