Good location, well setup for functions and weddings. Capacity is reasonable and has multiple entrances. Prayer facilities available with washroom Sufficient parking, but a couple of minor improvements need attention. Signage for halls and air-conditioning. Overall a good experience
Excellent venue and food for all your weddings and events within a beautiful palace like building which includes a large on-site car park. Highly recommended
OVERALL RATING: 92%  Food Rating: 9.2/10 Menu Choices: 8.7/10 Presentation: 7.7/10 Customer Service: 9.4/10 Atmosphere: 9.2/10 Value for money 10/10 Restaurant Decor: 9.7/10 Parking:  10/10 Satisfaction: Excellent The Badshah Palace majestically beautiful, breathtaking elegance, well setup for functions and weddings with on-site car park. Also beautiful view on the balcony. Restaurant section upstairs has 180 seats and wedding hall downstairs. We five Critic's on the night ordered our food and it arrived promptly. Serviced with warmth plates. The meat, chicken, mince meat and cod were cooked to perfection. The colouring of the curries where different to each dish with authenticity rich sauce fusing unique tastes of freshly ground spices and traditional herbs. Absolutely delicious with all of these elements intermingling. Staff's and the owner made sure we were looked after well. The place is spotlessly clean. Modern looking toilet spacious & clean. The design of seatings and setting has excellent customer Privacy. Prayer facilities available with washroom. Own logo on napkins, water bottle and mint served with bill. Very disappointed! No logo on plates or glasses since the restaurant Majestically beautiful. Menues can be tweaked and align with the restaurant standards We've enjoyed the exquisite dining experience, beautiful decor, great place to eat, amazing atmosphere, would definitely go again and highly recommend too. Beautiful building with good car space. Inside the decor is beautiful. It has prayer room facilities. Upstairs bridal room. Beautiful view on the balcony. Ideal for weddings and functions. Would highly recommend.
Had my wedding here and it was absolute shambles. Starters were cold, and my guest had to serve their own dessert... We were promised a smooth service but we got far from that. Dessert table was booked with frozen ice as part of the display ... no frozen ice seen on the day We paid upfront for the service and was unable to request a reimbursement Absolutely disgraceful. I would comsider elsewhere.
Ample parking. There was a carpark attendant, who was organising and directing people to park. I think this helped to make good use of the space, and ensure considerate parking. The entry area/foyer had grand design to it, but it could be seen that perhaps the building recently had some work done, but it's still a work in progress. The main banqueting area I was attending a wedding; is expansive and feels big and airy. I think possibly the building was once a theatre of some kind, and now the various levels in the structure have been adapted to make interesting plateaus that host tables for guests. The lower area near where the stage would have been, with either the ground seats or possibly an orchestra, makes for a dramatic spacious area, with a staircase leading down from the initial level. I'm not sure if there was sloped ramps at either side; but I think maybe there was apologies - there was an lot to take in!. Food quality was good, and staff, through busy and a little rushed, were attentive. In fairness, they may have been specifically catering for this event, so one can't draw too many conclusions about that. Facilities wise, there appears to be male and female toilets I didn't have a chance to check these out, but the disabled toilet I visited, was not in a good way at all. I won't go into too much detail, but I will say it let the place down. I hope they get it sorted out soon, because other reviewers would not be kind. In summary - this is an architecturally interesting building with tremendous potential to be an incredible venue, but it still needs work to reach that accolade. If completed; I think it could be one of the premier venues in the locality. Right now, I think it offers a lot of potential for the cost of hire. I didn't have an opportunity to try out the restaurant facility, but if the food was good the same kitchen and catering; it has potential to be very good.
It's a beautiful place However I was at a wedding yesterday omg it was packed with visitors No where to sit Hot as a sauna No air conditioning Not enough parking Been there in the past many times Sadly same issues It's a successful business BUT Why no air-conditioning and improved parking?? Got to attend another wedding in 2 weeks! Immediate family ...venue I'm dreading!!!!
Drove past today 30/12/2022 and went in for dinner. The staff were friendly but that’s where it ended. The poppadoms were still greasy and the food was terrible. Ordered a mix grill the lamb chops were like rubber and the cod fish was off and smelt horrible. The keema pasta was off as it smelt like it had been sitting there for days and just been warmed up. Nice decor but floor was sticky seems as it has not been mopped for a while. Definitely will not be eating here again and couldn’t get out quick enough. Avoid if possible.
We tried 3 course meals with a Groupon voucher. Food, service and ambience were really good. Price was reasonable. They also have free parking.
The finish of certain areas for example the wooden double doors to the hall downstairs has been rushed as you can see screw's in the wood. Good tradesmen would've stuck the crafted wood down so you don't see any fixings. Overall it's pretty nice inside. A huge chandelier stands above the main hall area which is lovely. We were invited for a wedding so these comments aren't related to the restaurant or the food they serve here.
