Impossible to get a GP appointment for my Partner. Called 14 times, on hold for 22 mins, to be told "no appointments today". Surely the phone message needs to be changed when all appointments have gone. My partner had a physio appointment here, at the start of December, sat and waited for an hour and the Physio didn't bother to turn-up. Receptionist was not aware the physio was not coming in! My partner was simply told, "come back at lunch for an appointment" what is the point of booking in advance, when you cannot even fulfil that!! Terrible service.
I started calling at 8.00am as it struck to the very second... it took me 230 calls before I got put on the waiting queue at number 10... needed an urgent appointment... lucky to get one at 5pm but not with a doctor... this place is terrible
This place is run by a bunch of clowns. The level of illogical practices that they have in place just wastes time, money, and resources. Literally your only options for getting and appointment are to get try “fastest finger first” at 7:59am on just try to get in the queue to speak to someone. Most of the time it says the queue is full and you get hung up on. So then they say to call after 10am. So three times throughout the day I call, and 8-10 people in the queue. At 4:30pm it took over one hour to speak to a receptionist to tell me that they have no appointments, try again at 8am. Round and round in their vicious little circle. If the apple was for me, fine, I’ll deal with it. When it’s for a 17 week old baby who cannot sleep because of constant pain, scratching, and not gaining weight, no one has the common sense to just find 15 mins the following day for him to be seen. Honestly the level of care in this country is shambolic. The thing is, they all blame under-staffing, and under-funding, but quite clearly the biggest issue is that these practices are being run by truly idiotic people who have no idea how they can save time and streamline whilst providing a better service. It just requires more competent management and better processes in place to stop the insane amount of wasted time. It needs people who have empathy and a better way of thinking to get things done. As I mentioned, for the majority, it’s just what we have to deal with; but when it’s regarding babies, or elderly, there needs to be far more compassion and a willingness to do things differently. I guess they are proud of their 2* rating. I’ve held off writing reviews in the past as I know the level of pressure they face, but it it’s just downright incompetence that leads to the problems they have, then there is nowhere to hide
I can’t thank Audley Mills enough for all of their support. All of the doctors I have ever seen/spoken with are compassionate and understanding doing their upmost to help and give you the time needed without feeling rushed. The admin team do a great job despite the pressure and workload on them. I find the system of being able to send messages through system online really effective and have always received the necessary support. Thank you
The Doctors and clinical staff are great, but the entire surgery is let down by the administration staff and system. The 1 star is purely for the clinicians which keep this place going. Undoubtedly there is an oversaturation of patients in need of care under the surgery, so much so that you can never get an appointment. I have repeatedly tried to get appointments on numerous occasions, both emergency on the day and as a non emergency patient and I am yet to see an appointment and have resorted to 111 services when desperate which I don't appreciate as I do not want to strain emergency services. Be prepared to wait upwards of 45 minutes in a call queue to be informed that no appointments are available and that's while dialing before the phone lines open and on the dot in the morning on separate phones out of desperation! I just recently emailed the surgery to ask if I could be booked for an important screening out of desperation to book because I cannot get through to anyone and it's not bookable online. They just replied I will need to speak to reception staff... Great! If only I could actually get through to someone. On the few occasions I have travelled to reception in person they have been cold mannered and more interested in chatting to each other and ignoring me.
Impossible to get a appointment, and when you do the level of care is a joke! No follow up care what so ever, waiting on a urgent follow up 2 month on nothing and don’t have time to sit on the phone for hours as I have job! If you can go to a different doctor it go private
My family and I have been patients at the surgery for many years and have always found the team to be kind caring and professional.
Again like most reviews here the issues isn't with doctors, it's to do with booking system and administrative staff. Long call waits and then system cuts you off which then means lost place in queue. 9 times out of 10 have walk to surgery for 7am to get appointment which for sick people not always the easiest to do. On more than one occasion not being able to get a appointment due to being cut off by phone system tried to speak with reception staff and told they know they have a issue but not there problem and to call tomorrow. When asked to escalate get spoken to in a very rude manner and told to speak to practice manager. They advised they have an issue which they have been aware for months but offered no explanation as to what they would do. Asked to complain told had to come to surgery to fill out a form. You can praise them by email or a link but to complain you have to walk to surgery. Easy to praise but make it hard to complain so from nhs point of view no issues with service. Such a shame as all doctors and nurses at this practice are great, just the system and staff to support them are abysmal hinders patients getting service they require.
Have been with the surgery for almost 2 years now and find them fantastic. All the doctors I have met have been so good.
Changed my prescription pill without informing me beforehand and then told me I was a “waste on the NHS” for wanting my original one back. Apparently I should have found out if I’d get my own side effects to this new one rather than trusting the awful ones I’d seen friends experience. Incredibly argumentative doctor who, for some reason, couldn’t understand why I wanted to remain on the pill I’d been on for 6+ years and had no issues with.
