Having recently undergone surgery for a Hip Replacement. I would like to express my extreme thanks to Mr. Solar... his staff also all the nursing staff...Annmarie - "M" and everyone on Enili Ward for their exceptional care. The hospital I found to be clean, especially on the ward. Full marks for the food too! Well done to you all at Ysbyty Gwynedd
My baby was born here 13yrs ago, very old mum !! ....Care outstanding. 3yrs ago edge of covid I managed to break my hip ......Care outstanding . Week ago flew over my own feet, outside at home , smashed knee ,needing surgery !! .......Care outstanding. Ysbyty Gwynedd Dr's and nurses I salute you , thank you for being you !! A mention to all the porters ,cleaning staff and kitchens too. The food was beautiful ,the little I managed . Thank you all too.
My partner just had a C section. Absolutely brilliant care and support given from all departments. Everything explained in detail at the pre op Op day the surgical midwife was so nice. So patient and genuinely seamed to love what she did. Operating staff amazing caring knowledgable and made us feel safe in an overwhelming situation. Then the midwife’s on the maternity unit in fact every one on that ward down to the lovely people that came and made sure my partner was fed. So nice so caring couldn’t do enough for us. Made the delivery of our little boy all the more special. Thank you all so much.
I have had to go to A & E twice in the last 2 months, I found the treatment second to none the cleanliness was exceptional the waiting time wasn't too long and they found the problem and I am now on waiting list for operation. This is an exceptional hospital. Polly Jones
Spent 3 days getting my leg pinned, surgery and all staff where 100%. 8 hours waiting for ambulance but that's not the staffs problem. Really hope the government can sort things out. Maybe when they are sitting down to their tax payers christmas meal they can think of the hospitals.
Went today for emergency scan. The nursing and sonography staff were amazing, friendly, efficient and genuinely caring. Just wish lady in the blood taking unit had listened to my repeated request to use the butterfly needles. I asked 3 times not to use the normal needles to get blood from my hands, but she appeared to not give a damn and left me feeling violated, and in pain. I reported this to the nurse in thrombosis clinic. If you lack empathy don't work in health care. You are letting the side down.!
On holiday here and tore my calf muscle. Cannot thank the a and e staff enough for their outstanding care. They were all rushed off their feet but they were concerned about making me as comfortable as possible A 3 and a half hour visit from start to finish is fantastic. Thank you all, the only names I can recall are Gwenda and Peter! You are amazing, thanks for looking after me!
Fabulous service from the nurses and doctors on Ffrancon ward. I could not fault them, I was reassured and informed at all stages. Had surgery within a few hours. Everyone who was working at Ffrancon ward was extremly kind and compassionate. However, my condition could have been less severe as I was made to wait in A& E reception by the mrs. trunchbull receptionist who lacked empathy or compassion. I told them I was/ had been bleeding constantly for 4 hours filling multiple maxi pads. However, the receptionist just told me to sit down and did not take me seriously. It was only after waiting for 30 minutes I went back up to reception and showed her the amount of blood that was leaking off my trousers she took some action.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Dangerously short staffed, one doctor and one nurse from 3am till 9am in ER department. Was told by 111 to go to hospital urgently with a suspected burst appendix. Was ignored all night, any time I tried to speak to the receptionist to ask what was going on, crying and rithing in pain I was told to sit down and the wait would be 'when we get to you'. Was a patient lying outside on the floor in 5°c weather, and no staff went outside to help her. My partner had to carry her inside and shout for help before she was seen unconscious and rapid breathing. We gave up after a 7 hour wait in the ER department, other patients had been waiting 11 hours and still not been seen! And went to Wrexham hospital instead. Take the extra drive and go somewhere they can take care of you.. appalling and awful. NOT SAFE AND SHOULD NOT BE OPEN! Dirty waiting room, full of dust and empty food packets allover the floor. Nurse going round wiping everything with a dry microfiber, and mopping under patients, asking them to lift their legs... Absolutely unbelievable.. 1* is too much! DANGEROUS!!!
I had to take my little girl to a+e earlier today after a nasty fall. We genuinely thought she had broken her wrist. From registration to discharge the staff were absolutely amazing with her. Thank you so much everyone. Xx
