The food is really quite nice. The only thing I would say is that when they are busy they can sometimes end up forgetting you exist. Once me and my partner were seated for a romantic meal the noise from other tables was piercing and no one ever came to ask us for our order and after about a hour of being ignored I asked my partner if we should just leave and go elsewhere and another time with my partner we were actually served this time great food we asked for the bill and it didn't come for 40minutes they wouldn't of noticed if we just left. Apart from that all other experiences have been extremely pleasant not too much of a wait for a table and the bar staff are excellent as well as the chefs. Salad bar has always been stocked up. Just need to cope better in a rush.
Gone downhill a lot, service, made me feel most unreasonable when going for a quiet meal with my boyfriend in a nearly empty restaurant I asked not to be seated next to a table full of toddlers or kids in general if possible. Not allowed to sit at the quiet table for 2 where we have sat several times in the past as we were told we wouldn't get served there. Staff in and out of the kitchen sitting down and eating in the restaurant chatting with the bar and waiting staff - felt like I'd gate crashed their party and was a complete inconvenience. Oh and don't ask for any variations to the menu - if you do expect only to recieve a meager ration as punishment to disuade you from doing that again. See my previous review below.
The manager at this restaurant is very grumpy had to wait for a long time to be seated and then received poor service and poor quality of food. I complained about this service and was told that I would be contacted which I wasn't. Strongly advise not to go to this harvester much better ones in surrounding areas. When this place gets busy they run around like confused headless chickens! Please avoid this place
You just can't beat Harvester! Great food Great prices and very accommodating and friendly staff,very child friendly but can sometimes be a long wait for tables due to the popularity of this particular restaurant.My advice book online which can be done weeks in advance and means no waiting for a table
The waiting staff where great, however the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The signature Fish and chips were really greasy. Would not go back
I've been a few times yes - it is reasonably cheap but the food quality is poor and the deserts tasted a little off numerous times. Wouldn't be my first choice.
Nice food but service diabolical! Was told they couldn't guarantee the steaks if I sat outside??? Why??? Would the steak turn into a pumpkin if it was carried out the door?
I Had Christmas Dinner at Harvester in Taplow This afternoon 25th December 2014 the Service there was Wonderful one of the Managers Served us he was Very Polite even though he was Rushed off his Feet I can't Wait to go back there as Always, I had the 9oz Rib Eye Steak with Roast Potatoes all the Trimmings etc.... my Partner had the Traditional Turkey Christmas Meal & we Brought our Little one I have Posted Pics of the Lovely Christmas Meal we had Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year remember why we Celebrate at this time of Year itz Because Jesus was born this Day Blessing to Everyone xx
Good harvester just outside town. Lots of seating, and pretty good prices. Lots of car parking outside and outdoor seating for the bar.
Food average, tables sticky, floors sticky, doors sticky, toilets not nice, lamp shades curtains walls yucky, not nice! Had no idea about the beers they were selling, ABV ?
