Ample parking. A small clothing area. Good candle selection. Nice house plant area.. Currently in spring an area for outdoor furniture. The inside homeware selection is small but ample, although thats not the main event..... The cafe is. It's extremely popular, and most people seem to be heading towards it. It can get busy at peak times, and apparently I hear it does a lovely Sunday lunch. The outdoor selection of plants is a great size. Excellent selection of roses. Worth a visit..
Lovely garden centre to walk around in. Indoors has lots of different items for sale. Lovely member of staff to greet you, sanitiser available at entrance. I especially liked the outdoor side where they positioned some animal figures amid plants. Beautiful.
If you like gardening and taking some time to sit and have something to eat. Frosts offers plenty of seating for lunch or an afternoon cream tea. Good Covid 19 standards and social distancing in place. Masks must be worn inside. Attractive product displays by Julie. Friendly helpful staff.
One of the better garden centres around, but now taken over by Notcutts. It's early days, but the excellent cafe/restaurant remains. The baked goods are of the highest quality, while the cooked food is good, although prices are a little steep and service on busy days is slow. Post-covid, there's plenty of outdoor seating and semi-table service. For proper garden related goods, the rest of the store is brimming with stock, with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. It's a pleasure to shop there.
Very impressive Christmas Display. Have not been here for a long time so it was a surprise to see a much bigger garden centre. Plenty of parking available with parking for disabled just outside the door. Easy entrance for disabled people. The garden centre also has a large outside area for outdoor plants. But this time of the year it was obvious the Christmas Display which did not disappoint.
Great selection of products: food, furniture, homewares, gifts, toiletries, books, plants... The café is also very good, with a varied selection to suit all dietary lifestyles and requirements. However, the shopping experience was rather marred by the unfriendly service at checkout: not only service without a smile or friendly greeting, but not reciprocated either!
First time visit to this Notcutts garden centre, was OK but not overly impressed. Member of staff at the tills was not a happy soul and projected her unhappy persona when dealing with us. Lay out was OK but did not flow like other Notcutts.
This is now Nottcuts - looks to be handing over well though quite low on stocks of some plants but to be expected in a business changeover. The restaurant is lovely - light and airy BUT misses out on the 5th star due to the general staff attitude and lack of direction on what was/ wasn't available and where things were located...really nice soup though!
It's big, really seems to have everything, clothes, food, tools, and plants, lots of them! The food service is order at the counter there's more than one and it's delivered to the table, quickly and quietly, very efficient! Great
Superb range of plants, clothing, gifts and leisure goods. Lovely restaurant with wide range of cakes, pastries and light meals.
