Not impressed at all. Barclays is the top funder of dirty fossil fuels in Europe. The UK needs cheap, clean renewables but Barclays is ploughing its customers' money into dirty, outdated technologies.
Lovely staff but the queues, oh the queues! It's a busy branch and something needs to be done about it, I've waited over 20 minutes and often longer several times. I always seem to be behind somebody with a detailed and complex issue or somebody paying in a months takings from the penny arcade - could these people not be dealt with by another member of staff?
Have trying to get my debit card which has expired renewed, I tried live chat got absolutely no where, wanted to know what transactions I was querying finally told me to ring the Lending Department. Tried to ring my local branch in Huntingdon, after entering just about every number I have on to the keypad, got through to someone I presume in India, who again was about as helpful as the tree in my garden. I have been with Barclays for 40 odd years, I think it must be time for a change, to someone who doesn't have machines in branch to deal with you, when they work, and employ people who understand the English language.
I really don't know why I am still with Barclays.. But the Huntingdon branch is an absolute nightmare! The staff are rude blonde haired guy, the new teller machines are painfully slow, they only ever have one real teller, which in turns causes huge queues. I can only go in to branch on Saturday. The last time I was there I had to wait forever, when another customer complained the staff jumped down his throat and said it was our own fault for coming in to branch on a Saturday! Sorry Barclays.. but lots of people work during the week!
Initially a little difficult to talk to someone, but once done, all okay.
Look like massively understaffed. At the moment is 9.12 and still closed. Supposed to be open at 9 . Lots of peoples waiting outside. Unfortunately I need to pay in cheque and is above £1000 not possible to do over app. I think really is time to change bank after 15 years I'm getting fedup with Barclays
Worst Bank Ever.. Longest que of people with only one person at the desk, everyone else standing around asking if they can help only to be told to wait in the que. What about offering more jobs to humans instead of these slow rubbish machines, or better yet have a person at each machine showing people how to use them. Countless old people and disabled having to wait much longer then they should to be seen by a person. Change it back !
I went to this branch of barclays to deposit a cheque on Saturday 2nd Jan 2021, going by Google maps it said it was open until 12pm, I arrived at the bank at around 11am and it was closed, on the doors and windows, the signs saying when they was open all indicated to the branch being open, but it just wasn't. Very disappointed with this and frustrated that I have been inconvenienced and have to try and find another time to go into the bank.
The machines are easy and convenient to use, staff is friendly
Went into the bank to make an appointment for told my appointment and time at. Forgot what time so I rang Barclays to confirm and they said they have no appointment on file shame though the manager seams quite sound
