I wish we could have left no stars - one star is too much. We are so disappointed and we will be making an official complaint against the manager, "Atalia' who should not be a manager of anything, as she can't even manage her own temper. We have been customers there for at least 15 years and today we placed an order, and just before leaving the house to collect it I nearly passed out. TWENTY minutes before we were due to collect the order, for the first time ever, I called and explained to the manager that I'm suddenly ill and couldn't get there. Instead of waiting to hear what I was going to suggest my partner could have collected it later!, the manager screamed down the phone at me that from now on I will have to pay in advance over the phone, or my orders will be refused!. If that was how they did business it would be fine, but it isn't. She didn't even give me a chance to say someone else will collect it later! She just opened her big mouth and lost a customer. What kind of manager says that to a good, trusted customer, who is suddenly taken ill, in such anger? The manager threatened to refuse my business, as if she will ever get it again!! To be honest I think it's time to leave them, because their portions have got smaller and their prices have gone up by a third in the space of a few weeks. We have started using Sushi Fix which is just as good, much cheaper and in the same area. Good riddance to the most expensive sushi place, where you never know whether you're going to get a decent portion or not.

Went early for sashimi and sushi but the sitting area not open till 12noon… but they still let us order and sit there 11:45 x Good was okay~ value with that quality~ Not a big store but clean~ 3 people working inside the sushi bar~

Fantastic super-fresh, hand made sushi right in front of your eyes. Friendly service and great value. 10/10 highly recommended Their maki and sashimi are amazing and they also have a freezer with loads of products like Mochi and gyozas.

The miso soup paste is cheap. Their staff are so welcoming Yamaka Sushi Kit is around £4 which is amazing for 2 people. So cheap and perfect for date night.

Went in because of the hype about it, the girl at the counter with purple and blonde hair with european accent was rude, she kept asking for orders because I was there ad 7:45 pm on Saturday they close at 8 pm the while place was empty , I told her I couldn't see the menu on website so bear with me while I look at the menu. I love Japanese food and the culture but that's not smth I thought I would come across in a takeaway shop.. Maybe Atariya forgot to train their staff about customer service. Never going back. Try Eat Tokyo much better customer service!!

We are used to the North Finchley Atariya, which seems better stocked, but was closed yesterday hopefully not forever. We got some good sashimi here for making sushi rolls at home. There is a basic selection of Japanese food here to choose from.

Not bad, ate at table in shop for t/away prices. Lovely fresh fish in sashimi. Will use again.

Food is okay, but they kept missing stuff from the orders and seemed irritated when we called. I work near by but will not be going back here.

My go to place for a quick fix lunch! Very affordable and quality fish/sashimi always!

Great selection of core Japanese food products. Staff are knowledgeable about products in the store and helped me find what I was looking for. Has a sushi counter too! Missing the 5th star as I feel it could do with a refit and prices don’t match the look of the store
