Ishtah restaurant provides modern Turkish cuisine featuring sophisticated interpretations of traditional fare that is accented with artistic touches, presenting one of the most unique dining experiences in Finchley NW3. A combination of gracious service, inventive cuisine and our new stylish décor ensure that the restaurant is a hit with both guests and locals alike.

Our chefs have a simple mantra: minimum fuss, maximum flavour. It's the little things that matter most; Istah presents to you authentic Turkish food and drink, from morning through to night.


Ishtah Restaurant offers contemporary and traditional regional Turkish / Mediterranean cuisine brought to your plate in a honest and opulent way. With its comfortable warm service, this casually elegant restaurant sets the scene for an unique dining experience in a North London Restaurant where we can seat up to 110 diners in total, 60 of which is available in the private area.

I honestly don’t leave Google reviews very often, but after tonight I felt like I had to.nnMy wife, my son and I came here for dinner, and the whole experience was amazing from the moment we walked through the door. We were greeted by a gentleman in a suit I’m not sure if he was the owner or the manager, but one thing was obvious straight away—he absolutely lives and breathes this restaurant. You could see the passion in everything he did, from welcoming guests to checking on everyone throughout the evening. It’s not something you come across very often, and it really made a difference.nnA big thank you to Roji and Tringa, who looked after us all evening. They were genuinely brilliant. Friendly, attentive, and somehow always there at exactly the right time—never interrupting, but never leaving us waiting either. They got the timing of everything just right, and that’s something you really appreciate when you’re out for a nice meal.nnAnd the food… honestly, every single dish was outstanding. Everything we ordered was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and you could tell it was made with care. Not a single complaint.nnThe atmosphere deserves a mention too. The music was just right—not too loud, not too quiet—and it really added to the whole experience. And on a lighter note… if you ever feel like practising your forbidden dance moves in private, the disabled toilet has the music turned up and no one’s there to judge you! nnMassive thanks to the whole team. Restaurants with this level of service, food and genuine hospitality are hard to find these days. We’ll definitely be coming back. Keep up the amazing work!
Wonderful Turkish restaurant! The meat is very tasty and juicy, cooked on the grill with a wonderful aroma of spices. The salads are fresh, varied, and perfectly complement the main dishes. The portions are generous, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I will definitely come back again and highly recommend it to all lovers of Turkish cuisine!
We had a fantastic experience at Izgara. The Turkish food was absolutely delicious - full of flavour and great portion sizes.nnFrom the moment we sat down, the team welcomed us with big smiles and made us feel genuinely looked after. The warm, unlimited bread was such a lovely touch to start the meal.nnThere’s a great variety on the menu, so plenty of choice for everyone. And the two-for-one cocktails? Just amazing and such great value.nnHighly recommend - we’ll definitely be back!
We were greeted straight away by the friendly team who made us feel welcome and taken care of the whole time we were there.nnWe were served in good time, and the food quality was 5 stars, cannot fault it.nnWide menu range and options, including good variety of choices on the drinks /wine list.nnFood and drink is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable.nnWe will be returning again in the very near future, really enjoyed our visit.
We celebrated my sons birthday here and had a wonderful time, staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and well presented, I will definitely return in the future.
