This is a first class local shop. Friendly, knowledgeable and an engaging service. My wife and I have been visiting Falmouth for many years and always make a point of visiting this shop run by Philip Jones. Support it as it is a rare thing in retail.
I wanted some new binoculars for my trip to Falmouth, checked all online prices and decided as associated photography was only a little dearer to get a feel for them before purchase. The guy serving me was very nice and knowledgeable, allowed me to take a couple of different pairs to the nearby harbour and after listening to my needs recommended a less powerful and valued pair which were suitable to me. On purchase he then checked online and matched the best online price without being asked, I’m trying to think how this service could have been better, I rarely give 5* unless earnt, SO pleased I didn’t purchase online.
Very helpful knowledgable staff. So nice to experience such service. Bought a camera here ages ago and when the battery went kaput they gave me another one for free. Was quite astounded but it certainly convinced me to come back. Who wants to go to Currys or Argos anyhow
Really wonderful Customer Service- Very helpful chap allowed us to compare binoculars and telescope to see which one we preferred. Really helpful and sold us a stand for our binoculars too so we could anchor them without having to hold them all the time. Wonderful shop!
Have been looking for a new pair of binoculars for a while now. Decided to shop local and was delighted with the knowledgeable, friendly service. When it comes to buying expensive, quality kit, there's no substitute for a real person who knows what they're talking about. Good selection of stock and very helpful advice.

Very helpful service today. I needed a new Fuji lens to replace my broken one. I called ahead and was told that the shop would be open until 5. I was also told that as a none essential shop, tonight’s due COVID announcement, might mean instant closure from tonight. I need a working lens for my work, so decided to whizz down. The owner was most helpful. Patient and not rushing. Ended up buying two. Highly recommended.
