First rate experience, table for five, evening meal. Great food and wine choices delicious deserts. Waiter was dedicated to set tables, he had a great sense of humour and totally understood our needs and perfect timing. No rush or pressure. A lovely period building added to the atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Went here for my friend's 18th and we had the private room upstairs. The staff were so kind and patient, especially considering the size of our group, and the food was delicious and arrived quickly. Plenty of vegan options and the raspberry lemonade is incredible. Ordering on the website is really easy and makes it so simple to split the bill, or pay for what you ordered. Definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on offer. They put a little vegan sticker on any dishes you order which is very reassuring! Dietary restrictions: You can enter your dietary requirements on the website which filters out any dishes you can't have and makes sure to let the chefs know, which is great!
I actually could not fault this restaurant even with the lack of staff and some menu items not being available due to supply problems. The staff clearly work hard and provide excellent service as well as make it as good as possible for you. Not to mention that the cooks work just as hard to produce such excellent food even in the heat. A truly hard working establishment that deserves praise. Wheelchair accessibility: Staff are happy to move furniture for outdoor seating and assist in any requirements needed for seating indoors.
We were a group of 15 and had to pre-order, but they handled our orders perfectly. Nothing was missing and nothing cold or undercooked. All the mains looked delicious. Handled our allergens with proper care and were clear about their kichen protocol. Prices are a bit expensive, bit def worth it Will go again.
Fantastic experience here tonight, they were so accommodating to my allergies and my best friends child's preferences. Stefano especially was fantastic and attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back!

We visited on a Friday during Christmas Market time. It was busy but we did not have to wait too long for a table. The food was good and I was delighted to be able to order a smaller portion of spaghetti Bolognese. My daughter has some allergies and they asked if anyone had allergies and then placed a marker on the table so all servers were aware. The servers were friendly and prices were reasonable. We would visit again when we are next in Winchester. Dietary restrictions: They took not of allergies.
When we got there at noon, we were the only customers inside. It quickly filled up over the next 45 mins. Once it was full & busy, there was a long delay between courses. I had to ask staff 3 times before we got my granddaughters ice-cream dessert. The menu was extensive and the meals we saw looked well presented. The childrens menu was very good value - 3 courses and a babychinno for £7.50. The photo is the childrens starter. The toilets were upstairs and clean. Not sure if there's a lift. Kid-friendliness: The childrens menu had some activities on the other side. A pot of colouring pencils was given. There was child size cutlery. They were very accomodating & moved tables around for a group that had 2 buggies.
Went Thursday evening and had a great meal with my family before my sons graduation on Friday! Food was quick and efficient and plentiful! Service was average as had to keep trying to get the staffs attention for drinks and afters and the bill! Otherwise I'll be back next time we are back in Winchester!Food: 4/5
