We picked this place over Prezzo and Pizza Express. We walked in without a booking and they let us have a table for 2 hours. Really great food! Service was excellent and hilarious. Best pizza I’ve had with truffle oil, the bruschetta was divine, the tiramisu is to die for. The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy, perfect for date night or family meals. Would 100% go back.
Cute little coffee shop and restaurant, serving Italian food. Have a sit and sweet talk with a friend. It is not good for larger groups. Party of four is the max number.
The best Italian cuisine in Winchester. Will definitely come back here again for seafood pasta.
Really nice italian food, a great atmosphere!
The parmigiana was sublime.. Cool jazz music, a glass of pinot... And Tom knows his stuff. And the warm panettone..
I wasn't overly impressed - here was my experience: Tom is very nice, very welcoming when I went to book. In contrast, on the night we were eating, one of his staff was very brusque to the point of almost being rude. The people on my table enjoyed their meals, although no one said it was spectacular food. In contrast, the olives served as starter were delicious. The potatoes I had which were not sautéed as described but oven-baked, although this wasn't a problem in itself were not vegetarian even though they were described as vegetarian. I guess most people wouldn't mind but I do mind being given something that is cooked or mixed with meat juices. The restaurant is pretty cramped seating - quite continental and I didn't mind this but some of the people on our table were not so keen. To get 5 stars I would like to have had vegetarian potatoes that sounds ridiculous as I write it but hopefully you understand what I mean! and a lot better service. I personally wouldn't go back although two out of eight people at our table said they would do.
This is delicious and nice place in Winchester!
This place is incredible - possibly my favourite place to grab lunch in Winchester, and there's plenty of places to choose from! Authentic Italian food try their parmigiana! and pastries. I love that Tom greets every one personally and visits each table to see how their meal is. A must visit!
An interesting place ,run by an equally interesting character, . Quite an array of food on the menu .all Italian based , pizzas , fish dishes, . Tom the owner gave our group some complimentary garlic focaccia, which was well received. .a couple of extra people joined our party ,and they were accommodated quickly. The food was lovely, and priced reasonably. There were a lovely array of puddings to choose from.including Tiramisu, a bread and butter pudding made with Pannetone and chocolate as well as other choices including ice cream and sorbet. If you are vegan ,I would suggest phoning ahead so they can make something for you.as there wasn't anything initially for me.Though a delicious pasta dish was produced in the end which was a huge portion .luckily I was able to share it :-
Went two times. First time the garlic bread was very good and the pizza margarita also. They have a slow service. The second time the garlic bread was not so good, they burnt it! I went for tomato pasta this time and it was a disappointment. Not going back, at least for a while. Friendly environment.
