"As a charity, Ashgate Hospice provides care to patients across North Derbyshire at the hospice and in the community, all free of charge.For patients with the most complex of needs, we have an Inpatient Unit, however most of our patients are cared for at home and can attend our Day Hospice if their symptoms need close monitoring. We have a team of specialist nurses and healthcare professionals who visit patients at home, which enables them to stay in familiar surroundings for as long as possible.Ashgate Hospice is mainly funded through donations, gifts in wills and income raised through our shops and coffee shops."

My grandfather spent his final few days here. The staff were incredibly caring, and looked after him very well. My grandmother was also able to be with him throughout. The staff provide a genuinely incredible service. I support their charity whenever I can.
Absolutely fantastic caring hospice. The staff are the best I've ever seen. They did a wonderful job looking after my brother. They will always be spoken of with kind words.
Amazing staff, really friendly. Rooms are lovely and clean. Lots of free parking available.
I have been visiting this shop for over a year now and been impressed by the quality of items for sale and reasonable price you would expect from a second hand shop. Recently I think it's success and popularity has led to the prices been over the top. I appreciate money goes to charity and I donate generously because of that fact, but when I see for example a bar of dove soap that costs 50p in a normal shop and is marked at £1 here I think it's just taking advantage and recently I have seen clearly used items that cost more than what they would of been new. I hope they change back as I would not be surprised if it takes a down turn because of this.
Lovely rooms, food, doctors, nurses, cleaners. All can't do enough for you. Totally different from a hospital. Recommended.
What these guys do on a daily basis is amazing. kind thoughtful people with one of the hardest jobs in the world. Well done to you all.

So very lucky to have this team on our doorstep. Mums end of life care was superbly managed.
Without the help and support from Ashgate my Mum would never have got so much support! From day 1 until Mum left us, they have been amazing, thank you to you all.
I am attending the daycare unit every Friday. The staff and volunteers are wonderful. They just can't do enough to make your stay an enjoyable experience.
