Jan 31 ,parked for weekly groceries. Displayed the blue badge and waited in the car for my disabled child and wife to come back. Today I received a parking fine. Saw some active ASDA employees while seated.
I am seething. The two older white women at the front—one with long blonde hair and the other with short brunette hair and glasses—were clearly racist and Islamophobic toward me. The blonde one wouldn’t serve me, even though she served the white man in front of me. I had no idea they even served people that early, but I guess since I’m not white, they never felt the need to. The brunette one was lingering behind me while I was scanning my items, as if I were going to steal something, even though I’ve been in there countless times and have never stolen anything. The irony is this could have been avoided if the blonde one just served me. They were literally tag teaming on humiliating me. These are two obvious racists and islamophobes working in a multicultural place. I won’t be going in there again.
I came early morning today to get an item for Christmas but couldn’t locate it.nFound a worker but I didn’t catch her name and it was just me and her in the isle so I walked up to her and said hi excuse me, I got ignored, repeated myself again, got ignored again and finally for the third time I repeated myself again and she looked up slowly with an annoyed look and said yes??nAs she didn’t know where the item was she pointed me to a colleague at the till and i understand we all have our days where we can’t be bothered or it’s a bad morning but respect and kindness costs nothing…
Asda rewards used to be a reason to shop there but now it is simply a joke. The rewards are now so pitiful and pathetic that I cannot even justify the energy required to open the app and scan it. My shopping habits haven’t changed but the so called rewards have fallen off a cliff. Gone are the days of periodically earning £1 or more off your shopping for the past few months I have had a paltry balance of 27p. Regular weekly shops have not changed this figure despite scanning my card each and every time. Today this worthless reward expired!! In a similar period with roughly similar spend I have amassed an impressive £32 on my Nectar Card. I would not be surprised if Asda were to go bankrupt soon. I will certainly be shopping elsewhere
Had a member of staff on self checkout decline selling me a bottle of wine even after me showing my ID as a 22 year old.nnI was then informed by the rude colleague that challenge 25 means that I need to be 25 years old to be able to purchase alcohol which is simply not true, and I should know having worked in retail.nnEven after I told him that this was false and that the law for being able to buy or drink alcohol is for 18 year olds and over, he repeatedly told me I was wrong and that the law has changed.nnAwful service and a generally frustrating experience.nnI went to Lidl after instead and was able to purchase wine without a problem.
