Was visiting asda today before myself and my friends final a-level. My friend tried to purchase a monster, and was asked for ID upon a “spot check”. Although my friend was more than happy to comply with the said member of staff, the treatment we received during this encounter was out of order to put it plainly. Where a professional response in customer service should have been evident; my friend was met with a completely ignorant and arrogant response. For example, one of the the rude comments that were made was “Have you ever been to an Asda before?” . Which was extremely rude and added stress on top of an already stressful day. Even after this more than unpleasant encounter, my friend handed over her passport, which she had forgotten had been in her car, so she had to go out and retrieve it . She was met with yet again another completely unpleasant response, where the member of staff said, “you should really be carrying your driving license not your passport”, this response was not only rather intrusive but also greatly condescending and made me really think about shopping in downpatrick asda again. This experience was rather eye opening and downpatrick asda should be welcoming customers rather than just chasing them away as even though they are no longer a shop but a tent, i was still offering my support for the business.
Lovely store with the most amazing staff! I had a problem with my phone driving up from Dublin and the staff were so good to me helping to figure out how to get home and one member of staff, I didn't get his name but he managed to let me hotspot off his phone to help me out! Thank you so so much!! A brilliant team of staff here
Great if you enjoy chasing your trolley around the fruit and veg section - the floor is on a wonk so you can't leave it without it rolling across or down the aisle. Have anything in your trolley? Enjoy fighting against the slated floor trying to push it uphill and around corners. The store also just has a really poor layout and really poor selection of items. Rubbish.
This former Safeway/Morrisons Store has a large clothes section, less food selection and no longer with a petrol station. And more self service check-outs then customer sales assistant attended check-outs
Used click & Collect quite a lot. I'm disabled & staff are always helpful & respectful. Couldn't fault them. Thank you to the staff who have helped me, really appreciate it. I couldn't live as independently without your help.
