Stuart at Arthur Samuel is great chap - the kind of Estate Agent you want on your side right through to completion. He's friendly, approachable and helpful but most important of all he's tenacious. When other Estate Agents and Solicitors were dragging their heels Stuart was on the ball, the driving force in fact - a reassuring presence pulling all the strings! I can't thank him enough.

We're buying a house through Arthur Samuel and  so far the process has been very efficient. Stuart is continually keeping us updated and easy to get hold of when needed. He's very  transparent and honest and I'd be happy to recommend them

Very poor service form this estate agent, in particular from Stuart, the owner. In my experience in dealing with them, they conducted themselves in a very unprofessional manner. We were interested in a property in Walton On Thames for sale with Arthur Samuel. From earlier on in our dealings, it seemed that Stuart preferred to deal with other prospective buyers that were in the exact same financial situation as us. We made a number of offers on the house and some of the reasons he gave us for declining our offers were simply ridiculous. Our second offer was declined on the grounds that it took us 9 days from viewing the property for the first time until making an offer. I have never heard of an offer being declined because it took too long (9 days!) to make it. This wasn’t even our first offer!
Stuart promised he would call us back after we made one of our offers, but he never did. The following day he wasnt available to answer the phone and he never called back. It was clear that he didn’t want to deal with us and he didn’t have the decency to answer our calls or call us back. 
In the end the seller lost a few thousand pounds as we were offering more money that the other buyers. If I was selling a property, I would think carefully before putting my property for sale with a estate agent that does not put the sellers interest first.
Independent estate agents can provide a very good service, but if anything goes wrong, there’s really no one to complaint to (in this case, the person we were dealing with is the owner of the company), appart from the property ombudsman.

Down to earth, breath of fresh air, straight forward communication. Good rapport with Landlord; has their trust to recommend tenants they think will be suitable. Felt like dealing with a human being rather than a robotic sales person like with some other agencies

We bought our first house via Arthur Samuel and would definitely recommend them.  Our main contact, Stuart, was easy to contact and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process.  I felt that he was acting fairly for both ourselves and the sellers and did a great job of acting as go between us and our solicitors.  We will certainly look to use Arthur Samuel the next time we move.
