Story

The ancient village of Arreton sits at the geographical heart of the Isle of Wight. Arreton Barns offers visitors a glimpse into the Island's past. Traffic free, safe for children and families alike, it showcases local craftsmen, locally produced crafts, farm food and agricultural artefacts.

A stroll around Arreton Barns encompasses the Lavender & Lace Cottage, a ceramic crafts workshop and the 12th Century Church of St George's.

The village Corn Exchange displays selected gifts and souvenirs while the Dairyman's Daughter free house serves food and real ale all day and into the evening.

The village regularly holds exhibitions, demonstrations, real ale tasting, harvest festivals, auctions and events linked to village life so keep an eye on our Facebook and website for all the most recent information.

Amazing place. Like stepping back in time in a beautiful location. Make site to visit all the great shops selling everything from musical gifts to candy and fudge. Farmer Jacks is great for fresh local produce. There is even a mini retro game room. If you have time feed the ducks and take a walk up the down behind the village for panoramic views.

Lovely place to spend an afternoon. Lots to see and do. The glass museum has an incredible display of glassware. There are all sorts of craft shops. A very well stocked 'framers market' type shop (fancy jars of ingredients, pies and meats). The pub there sales very nice food. Only downside is the price of everything, but then it's that sort of place. Recommend to pop your head in. Free parking.

A great place to visit, been back three times this week for a drink & meal at the Dairymans Daughter. Beer, food, service & atmosphere excellent. Plus it’s dog friendly.

Very good. Worth a visit. Plenty of parking. The shipwreck museum was amazing costs £5 to get it, bargain! Also watching the glass makers work was great. Has a bar for refreshments.

Interesting collection of shops and museum. Good farm shop and pub serving a good selection of nice food and beer.
