I was looking for a London based company who could respray an old bike frame for me and who I could visit to make sure of a good colour match. Armourtex seemed to have good reviews and opens early in the morning so I managed to fit in a visit before work in the morning. I have now received the frame back and rebuilt the bike and am delighted by their work. The colour was just what I wanted and the finish was excellent. The threads were all clean too so it was easy to refit my components. Highly recommended
We had been looking for a Matt black finish for our bathroom accessories for a while but to buy them off the shelf meant spending too much over budget! So our friend recommended Armourtex, who did his bike! They were very helpful and got our bathroom taps and shower units to the finish we wanted. Great service affordable and friendly staff. It's businesses like this that make a difference.
Wouldn't go anywhere else! I was genuinely blown away by the service Armourtex provided me from start to finish. Ive dropped a number of items off there, mainly old bikes that need serious attention, and cannot get over how good they now look. I've used many other powder coating companies before but none have given me results to the same quality. Pricing is fair and they've always completed the job within the timeframe I gave them. So pleased that the new owners of Armourtex have the same eye for detail and appreciation for service that set this company apart.
Armourtex look after my bikes and my family's bikes, and have done for the past few years. Their service and the quality of their work is excellent. From a total rebuild including respray - they have a top-notch powder coating shop on site, which I've used - to a full service or routine maintenance, I doubt you'll find a better bike shop.
Top class. Armourtex Resprayed my bike and built my wheels. They have done a stunning job, I've had it for a month now and have lost count of compliments I have received. I really can't recommend them enough and the mechanic Billy, who is a major asset to the company.
Restored my old 1960s BSA to exceptional standard. Great customer service, kept me updated throughout the job and delivered early and under budget. Super helpful, patient and friendly. Was stopped several times on the way home by people asking about the bike. Recommended Billy to them all.
Armourtex badly damaged my bike during painting and refused to compensate me. Customer service was rude and unaccommodating. It's advisable to ignore earlier reviews as shop has since been under new ownership and capable mechanics presumably let go. What used to be a very good business in Hackney has clearly taken a nosedive. The prices have skyrocketed and the new location is inconvenient to say the least. What a shame.
Surprised at the bad reviews below but seems like they've taken the feedback on board. Had a great customer experience with these guys- very helpful, and gave me a great quote for jazzing up an old bike frame. I shopped around a fair bit and the price quoted was the best on the market. Thanks guys!
My partner and I moved into our new home a few weeks ago. We wanted to revamp some of the things we already had as we spent good money on them but they were boring us! We had our metal coffee table spray painted neon and it looks amazing!!! We also had all of our door knobs spray painted, our home looks so unique, I love it! Highly recommend this place.
We use Armourtex regularly for Powder coating services. Their work is consistently a very high standard. They are very efficient, organised and competitively priced. I have a dozen powdercoaters locally in Essex, but I still send metalwork the extra distance to Armourtex because I know they'll do a good job and the service is great.
