The staff at this store are always friendly and very helpful. Returning items is easy, too, and if a replacement isn't in stock, they are happy to find the nearest store that does or order the item in. There's also plenty of spaces to park.
Absolutely disgusting treatment from Lesley the woman who works here. She was rude to myself and another lady whilst we were both waiting in the queue to pay for our orders. She refused to serve me because I was on my phone whilst waiting for a member of staff to come to the till so I can pay she came over after another customer got so impatient and went over to the collection desk to ask for a member of staff to attend the till. Lesley came over and said “I don’t serve customers who are on the phone” I was actually in shock as I was in the queue on the phone at an empty till as soon as she came over I put my phone down. Another customer said to me “now you know for next time” I said “yeah I guess I do” Lesley then abruptly said “you shouldn’t get involved in other peoples conversations I find that disgusting” I genuinely was in shock as she was being so nasty I am going to report the incident to head office. The way she spoke to me infront of so many customers I genuinely can’t believe it. it was so embarrassing I will NEVER be shopping at Argos again. Avoid this woman at all costs! She is a disrespectful, abrupt and rude individual who clearly doesn’t know how to treat customers. What a sad sad woman who takes her anger out on customers.
Visited store today and received fantastic service from Nav and was very keen to help with the maintenance on my car.
I had a fantastic shopping experience at Argos . The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making my visit enjoyable. The store had a great selection of products, and I found exactly what I was looking for. The prices were reasonable, and the checkout process was quick and efficient. Overall, a top-notch shopping destination with excellent service!
My family have shopped here for years and I can remember most of my childhood with parents buying things from Argos. But as an adult now, having experienced shopping here, the customer service is appalling- very different to 20 years ago which is the opposite of what you would expect. Returning faulty items can be extremely difficult and embarrassing. Staff don't believe what you tell them, you get interrogated, asked a million questions, get denied a refund, and only get a refund if you know your rights and tell them you know your rights. E.g. I once tried to return a faulty child's car seat - was only a month old, buckle unclipped on its own so I didnt think it was safe for my child. The manager told me it looked fine to her so refund was denied. Only when I spoke to customer service amd explained it was a health and safety hazard, they agreed a refund. I do understand staff need to reduce the number of unnecessary returns, but this type of behaviour is the reason why people opt to shop online now.
