This store is A scammer! They meant to sell horrible quality washing machines! It has broken into pieces inside the machine after a very short period of use, told them they shouldn't sell faulty items and they said nothing they could do. They have broken the law under Section 23 of the Consumer Rights Act. I sued them in the court and waited for the judge. Horrible business. Don’t buy stuff from this disgusting store .
Purchased a new AEG washing machine from here a few weeks ago which I'm really pleased with. Proprietor arranged next day delivery, fitting and removal of my broken washing machine. Great value and service from the proprietor and the two guys who came to fit it.
Absolute joke of a company, engineer was meant to come between 9-11am time slot given by them and then they don't even turn up, better yet they don't even have the decency to ring to let us know they won't make it. I got told by the 'boss' that apparently the engineers are not capable of picking up the phone to ring a customer which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Now they haven't turned up, I have gone back to work and then engineer turns up at 11:45pm, my 16 year old sister opens the door and the engineer gets rude, starts shouting at my little sister and she rings me upset and crying which is not on at all. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a so called Professional company. I tried to explain to the so called boss what had occurred between the engineer and my sister but he would not listen to a word I was saying, Told me everyone is frustrated which is not a valid excuse for the actions and behaviour. I'm not the type of person to write reviews but when something like this happens, it's best people know about it and if I could give 0 stars I genuinely would.
Absolutely abysmal service from Avtar, the owner of this company who was supposed to come out today to repair my tenant's oven. The tenant was day off work and waited in. When I texted him this afternoon to see whether anyone was coming he said he was short staffed and would come tomorrow. The tenant would have been back at work then so that was not possible. Avtar knew this morning that he would not be sending anybody today but never contacted me or the tenant to let us know. When I rang him to express my dismay at wasting mine and the tenant's time there was not a hint of an apology. Rather he offerred only lame excuses, was argumentative, rude, dismissive and would not accept responsibility. I wholly concur with all the critical comments written about this company below. Definitely one to avoid. One star is far too generous a grading!
Our oven and hob broke on a Tuesday Morning. We wrote to Stoneacre on the day about the problem and were told that it would go through the landlord to authorise the repair work. Jobs can’t always get done immediately so I do not hold it against a contractor. Sometimes a job requires you to identify the problem, consider the solutions, and wait for the resources to fix the problem. If that happened I would not have been frustrated because, despite the inconvenience, you need the right tool for the right job. I hate when clients demand unreasonable timescales from me, demanding specific actions to be taken that aren’t possible. The difference is all about how you handle the interim period. By Thursday neither me, the agency nor my flatmate had been contacted. I queried this in case we were just in a queue of tenants. Imagine my surprise that ARC had “tried contacting us repeatedly” with no answer. As there were no missed calls I was cynical. I would have expected them to leave a message but maybe there were in fact technical difficulties. I was told by the agency that we’d be called Friday but we didn’t get a call. I called them and was told that the contractor could go round that evening if we were home, or he would have to pick up the keys to the property the following morning. We were not going to be at the property that evening so we agreed that the Saturday plan would be best as, even if we’d gone out for the day, the contractor could still get in. Well cue 11.50 on Saturday morning and what do you know… nothing. I’d been awake since 7.30 with a Green Tea and a book and there was no knock, no entry, no call. I decided to call the agency. Apparently the contractor had come round to the flat at 8.30, clicked the buzzer, not gotten an answer and so gone away. Considering that I was reading in silence with the hallway door open, you would expect that I would have heard the buzzer. It didn’t ring. Stoneacre told me that they’d look into what they could do in the afternoon before they left the office. As I got no news by 3, which is when they were meant to close according to Google, I called them. It turns out that it wasn’t going to be done until Monday. Frustrated wasn’t the word and if I had any belief that the contractor had tried to contact me or my flatmate before, Saturday’s events convinced me otherwise. They got it done on the Monday eventually, but that’s 6 days without some essential kitchen stuff. If we’d been told it couldn’t be done for a certain time we would at least have been kept in the loop. I’m happy to be cooperative but I do not like being messed around, especially when the agency I deal with has threatened fees for late payments that was a direct result of them not filing the documents they said they were going to file. We had to throw food away and money was spent on buying food that we could actually prepare. First world problems maybe, but let’s not forget that ARC are being paid to do a job and are simply not doing it. You don’t have to be an avid Capitalist to see a problem there. ARC are either liars or incompetent. I’d rather someone admit that a mistake was made than to spin me a lie, but neither’s good. Apparently they had been trying the wrong numbers for us. Explains why we didn’t get a phone call, but considering I’ve repeatedly asked when the attempts to contact were made and the request has been ignored, I doubt they even tried the “wrong numbers”. I’m more inclined to believe the liars part which fills me with little confidence that they’ll get the work done next time there’s an issue. They’ve likely got a contract with the agency that they don’t want to lose and when they can’t keep up with the current work they blame tenants for being uncooperative instead of admitting the truth. Considering the other reviews this company has received, I’m inclined to believe that this is a common behaviour that they seem to think they can get away with.
Not so much a comment about the service, rather the proprietor. I parked outside the shop, as I was taking my daughter to ballet just down the road. He proceeded to shout at me out of his car window as he was pulling up, saying I was parking in 'his space' and then shouting profanities and teaching my 5 year old some new and unsavoury words.
I rang ARC To arrange for someone to come and look at my fridge freezer that had broken, they promised to send someone the next morning. The next day by lunchtime no-one had arrive, I called to check they were still coming and they said yes someone is on there way, rather abrupt and rude on the phone. I waited in, no one turned up, no one called and I've heard nothing since. Don't bother with them, when an appliance goes wrong, especially a fridge/freezer you need to be able to rely on someone to turn up. ARC are unreliable and rude.
Booked a cooker repair. 2 days after the original appointment no one has turned up. I used this firm regularly for years but no more. No calls, no updates ,and lies when I chased it up, if I could get through. Shocking customer service. Avoid at all costs.
Hands down the worst customer service i think we have recieved. Had a broken washing machine for 2 weeks now and still no sign of the guy to fix it after multiple promises that they were going to come out. Spent a lot of money with this company as im a landlord. Will definitely be taking my business else where from now on and will be spreading the word about these guys.
Not recommended at all. Unprofessional engineer and worker as rely on customer word instead of their knowledge and diagnostic experience. Rude manager, AVTAR and made my appliance worse than before and I should give -10 rate.
