We booked afternoon tea today 09/10 and me and my partner both agreed that this was one of the best Afternoon tea parties. It was our anniversary which was acknowledged at the desk when we were entering the restaurant but also, we were given a plate with two beautifully presented sweets, and a chocolate plaque saying Happy Anniversary. The sandwiches were amazing, especially the mushroom tarts, and the cakes tasted amazingly good. We definitely didn't feel hungry at the end of it all. All staff, and I mean absolutely all of the staff, starting with the security at the Shard and the Restaurant staff were lovely and attentive. And we had a great view. Definitely worth visiting the Afternoon tea.
Amazing restaurant with fabulous view! Octopus, ravioli and beef were well executed and tasty. The Shard dessert was beautiful and a great way to end our meal. Service was friendly, albeit sometimes disjointed, but courses were well-timed. Service is automatically included so don't add it when paying. I always check but I think that they should tell you upfront when presenting the bill. Our server asked us to check the bill and perhaps that was a subtle way to say service is included. There were several birthdays and a proposal which is not surprising. It's a memorable venue. Happy we came to experience it.
Took my husband for a 3 course brunch to celebrate his 60th Birthday and from the moment we arrived we received the warmest welcome from security and at Aqua. Our coats and bags were checked so we didn’t have them at the table. I had specifically asked for a window table and they delivered this and we had a delightful view over the river. The server was super helpful and friendly, he even sang happy birthday which was lovely. Food was fantastic and deserts were amazing, hubby also got given a lovely little birthday desert in addition to the one he had chosen on the menu, great choice of drinks was available so we opted for the whispering Angel rose which was delightful. It was a memorable occasion and we will certainly visit again as it was super special with the best service ever in a beautiful setting.
One of the best afternoon teas Peter pan themed We had an amazing view. The food was excellent and so was the service. Virginia was the best, she was attentive and pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
My sister was celebrating her birthday. I had added this detail when booking the reservation. Our waiter brought out a chocolate treat for her at the end of our meal. Waiting staff very attentive. Although we hadn't booked window seats, that is where we were seated. Great view of London. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend going! Kid-friendliness: There were diners who had small children.
We went for afternoon tea. The restaurant is lovely. Staff are very friendly. We were early and they still sat us right away. We’ve done a lot of teas and this one you are paying more for the ambience and Peter Pan theme which is very cute. The food was good but we’ve had better at other teas. The tea also got quite bitter. We prefer tea that we can steep ourselves. It you want a traditional tea, this one is not it. But it’s definitely worth it if you like the whole Peter Pan concept and the view!
We enjoyed the scenic set menu which was much more expensive than we would usually go for, but with the food, view, service and experience it felt worth it! The starter selection was delicious, especially the spinach croquet and chicken terrine. The mains were a good size, well cooked and flavoursome. The dessert platter was three different items which were all presented beautifully and tasted delicious. All in all a fabulous experience!
Had a lovely Peter Pan themed afternoon tea at Aqua Shard. We were seated in a corner, surrounded by fantastic views of London. Friendly and welcoming server Virginia, who took good care of us. The food was delicious and impressive, with extra helpings available if we wanted any! The atmosphere was calm, friendly, not too busy or loud. Really enjoyed our time here, we didn’t feel rushed and we left very full! I would definitely come back here again
Everything was spectacular. The only thing that I would’ve liked more was if their upholstery had been cleaner not stained. But every other detail had been thought of. My kids liked the adult tea sandwiches better than the kid version but they let us order as many of the others as we wanted. The tea was delicious! Kid-friendliness: Everything was designed around being kid-friendly, from the theme to the dishes offered, to the drink options.
Peter Pan afternoon tea at Aqua Shard was absolutely delicious, a wonderful experience. Food was very tasty and wonderfully presented, the service was first class, staff very attentive and friendly. The view from our table was superb despite it being a little misty outside. Then we finally arrive at the cost...... champagne afternoon tea was advertised at £90 a head......it definitely isn't £90 a head as you can see from our final bill......we were charged £27 a glass for the champagne!! The service charge is 15% and discretionary but we chose not to take that off. The total bill was just shy of £300. Yes we could have disputed the bill but my Daughter works in London and was happy to pay this amount. Please, if you're on a budget, just be careful with this afternoon tea as you could be in for a surprise at the end!!
