Had a wonderful stay. Breakfasts are very well presented and the waitresses very attentive and polite. Especially Izzy. The evening meals were Michelin star standard. The spa was incredibly relaxing with a very hot steam room, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi and also a salt room. The rooms are very clean and tidy with very good quality cotton sheets. The shower in our room was very spacious, clean and an always on towel rail. I can't recommend enough.
I went for a spa day with friends. We didn't stay at the hotel. The spa is really great with two different kinds of steam rooms, a sauna, a foot spa, two outdoor jacuzzis, and a lovely pool. It was booked with an afternoon tea with sandwiches. The sandwiches were rather less than mediocre. One should be given a choice of what kind of sandwiches one wants.nThe staff was very friendly and helpful.nWe're thinking of going somewhere else next time we want to go for a spa.
My friend and I went to this hotel for my birthday weekend, initially the dates we were looking for weren't available but I rang the hotel and they had the availability. We got a twin room which included dinner, breakfast and afternoon tea in the price. We had to pay for the spa and book a 2 hour time slot. Bathrobes and flip flops were in the room on our arrival. We paid for a full body massage which was just the best massage ever! Because we only had an hour in the spa the spa receptionist was really nice and gave us another time for the hour we missed. The staff are amazing and really friendly, we had great cocktails and drinks, the evening meal was good too although we had to also book a time for that too. All in all we had a great time and it's probably the best spa I've been too! Thank you so much
We stayed on Friday 12th July, we had room No. 7 in the main Manor House. The room was very clean and ample space, the only fault was that the door did not close properly at the top and from the outside looked like it was open slightly.nThe staff are superb, very friendly and very chatty from reception, dining room and the Spa everyone had a smile for you.nThis was our first visit but will certainly not be the last.
My partner and I recently stayed at a hotel, having reserved a standard room through booking.com. The confirmation email mentioned that we would be accommodated in the main building or the annexe. Had we known that we would be placed in a separate building at the back, we would not have booked in the first place. I disagree that the conditions in both the main building and the annexe are the same. Firstly, there is no heated connection to the main building. Secondly, the room was small and basic. The pictures are not worth considering, as they differ from reality.nThe breakfast did not include espresso. If you desire espresso, there is an additional charge of £4.50 at the bar. While I appreciated that the set menu breakfast was served warm and freshly prepared, we both would have preferred the option to select from a buffet, which is a common practice at many 4-star hotels we have visited.nThe highlight of the hotel was the spa centre and the delightful staff. The various amenities were modern and clean, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. We enjoyed it. However, after spending a few beautiful hours in the spa, we had to cross the entire hotel with wet hair, run through the rain, and climb the stairs to reach our room in the annexe. It left us feeling like poor relatives hidden away in the backyard, distanced from everyone else.nThe location was excellent, but the noise from the nearby main road was unpleasant. The main building boasts a lovely view, yet it was not visible from our room. In conclusion, this hotel's offerings fall below the average for 4-star hotels. We wouldn't recommend it and won't visit it again.
