Great, relaxing massage and warm wrap followed by an excellent mid-day meal made for and excellent start to a very relaxing weekend. The facilities provided by the hotel include a salt room, b stream room, sauna and hot tubs. The staff are will trained and very helpful The rooms are will equipped and very comfortable. Would highly recommend the hotel for a short or long stay.

Me and my wife visited this place for our anaversiry. The staff at this place go above and beyond for You! We were there during the "the beast from the east"😂 and the staff were great on giving us advice on what to do in terms of getting back. Spa facility's are outstanding! So are the staff in there. We would visit this place again and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Met up with my partner here, who was walking the Pennine Way, and took advantage of their Winter Break deal (as a rest day for him), which was excellent value for money. The hotel is lovely, food and spa great, but the staff really made it, as they were always friendly, helpful, and accommodating of our unusual requests for menu items and laundry. Definitely a place we hope to return to!

I came here on an organised luncheon trip. We were given a very warm reception from the restaurant staff, they could not do enough for us. The hotel still has some of the atmosphere of a Victorian country manor house, with traditional lounges and log fires. We had our meal in a sunny conservatory built on to the front of the house. All three courses were beautifully presented, my roast turkey cooked to perfection. Drinks are expensive - £7 for a glass of wine - but only to be expected in a luxury 4 star hotel. Lovely view of Appleby and its castle, Eden Valley and Lake District fells, from the garden terrace. I would definitely come again!

We were staying in this lovely hotel twice and both times we had an incredible experience. Staff always friendly and looks after guests like good hosts. Make you feel very special. Rooms are nice and tidy. Facilities are great and we'd advice to visit Spa for full experience and ultimate relaxation.
