Really good wine list. You can shop for wine too. The anchovies and rillete were really good. Nice outdoor seating to people watch.Food: 5/5
Great selection of natural wines. The food was very good too. The staffs were were friendly but it was really busy that we had to keep asking them for water. However, they do not provide gluten-free breads. Dietary restrictions: No gluten-free alternative available
What a treat we had tonight at the Antidote Wine Bar. We stopped by right at closing and Chris the owner and the cheery lady from Brooklyn were gracious enough to let us have a nice glass of wine. We started chatting and it turned into two glasses and a very friendly and interesting conversation. Thank you Chris and special mention to Eric who was very accommodating after closing time and very professional. We are thinking about going tomorrow night. A real treat.
Nice location, good choice of wine. Sadly, zero atmosphere. Staff weirdly did.not want to communicate even a smile or hello. Menu thrust in hand. Supposed to shut at 11 and a card machine was thrust into face at 9:40 to settle the bill.. all very confusing. Wouldn't return.Service: 3/5
Don’t waste your money - a great selection of wines but the service is atrocious. We were a group of 4 and had some wines by the glass and cheese before ordering a bottle of wine. When the bottle arrived my husband added ice to his glass. The waitress then told us the manager did not allow wines to be consumed with ice and proceeded to take my husband’s glass away without our consent, tipped it out and brought back an empty glass. When we asked why this had happened, she left and spoke to the manager. The manager could see us and instead of coming in he sent another waiter. The second waiter told us the reason was because the venue only offered wines that were produced in small quantities and they did not want customers to ruin the wine with ice. To compensate us for the full glass of wine the waitress tipped out, he retrospectively offered to charge us the take out price £25 less but did not apologise. We finished the bottle and left. For context the bottle of wine was £79. The manager never once came past to speak with us. Whether it’s arrogance or cowardice or both it was disappointing, given it was his policy. We were paying for the wine and should be able to enjoy it as we please. If ice would ruin the taste, then tell us vs confiscating the glass. If “wasting” the wine was the concern then surely a glass of wine enjoyed ice or not is better than a glass of wine tipped down the drain. Long story short, if you’re looking for good wine, friendly staff and a fun experience - this is not the place. There are plenty of places around that would provide a much better experience.
Lovely wine but the reviews are spot on. The service is shocking and the staff are so rude. Never have I encountered such terrible staff / customer service. I don’t get what their problem is?Service: 1/5
Unexpected 18£ a glass of white The street and atmosphere were quiet, I asked for recommandation on a glass of white and was offered to taste one. I liked it and did not ask for the price as in Belgium and France, you would be warned when advised an expensive wine. Neither was I asked about the size I wanted. Expensive, to say the least. Even in Norway, I never paid that price for a glass of wine! Then I politally told the waiter that it would have been nice to warn me about the price, to which he did not reply anything. Only to discover after turning my back that the 3 men in the bar were having a good laugh. Sadly I felt tricked and will not.go back there. Lesson learnt
If you want a delicate, classy wine bar and you’re near the chaos that is Carnaby street, this is the place to go. Organic wine that is extremely delicious and worth the price point.Service: 5/5
I had a pre lunch glass of wine here it was incredibly pleasant. The offering of wine was good and we had a lovely French rose. The only food we had was olives. Great staff.Food: 5/5
