Actually went too the surgery this morning knowing full well that I could be on the phone for sometime if i was to try and make an appointment by phone. At 8.35 spoke to the receptionist in the surgery and asked if I could see a doctor due to the fact I have swollen leg and I'm in a lot of discomfort.....No was the answer due to the fact all of the slots were taken and it wasn't deemed serious enough. But but, but ,but, we could accommodate you on a Wednesday of next week, I'm sorry but how did we manage all those years ago when we could walk into the doctors give our name and address and then just sit and wait our turn and with less staff.
Very kind and lovely staff! My first time there since moving to the area and felt very comfortable, even when I went back because I forgot my prescription.nDoctor also had a time for me and felt like she listened to what I was saying. Thank you!nnAgree that patients should just be kind and understanding. They're doing all they can - be kind to our NHS
Hard to get a face to face appointment. Difficult receptionist! Half of the time you can't get through! Once took me off trammadol without tapering and I was In a big mess!! Needed a letter off the doctor once and had wrong info on and had to go back and be redone several times. I had a copy of my doctors notes and immensely important things missing and completely false information on my notes!!!!!!
Excellent service received at this surgery since our move into the area nearly 2 years ago. Like all GP practices it can be difficult to get an appointment UK wide issue but receptionists will get a GP call you back if it's needed, the GP can then decide if you do actually need a face to face appointment and sort that for you. Recently had a telephone appointment with a doctor who after listening to my symptoms arranged for an antibiotic prescription to be waiting on reception for me the same day.
A new low for the Doctors. Been trying for 2.5 hours to get through to make an appointment for my disabled wife only to get an engaged tone, not even been put into a queue. Decided to pay a visit to Dinnington to make an appointment in person. Lovely receptionist informs me she can't make an appointment and I need to ring. I pointed out that I couldn't get through to be told 'it's becacause of the Bank Holiday, the lines are busy, just keep trying, I'm too busy and can't access that system'. Still trying as we speak. Appalling service.
