What a discovery in an antiques emporium. Brought a fabulous Laura Ashley leather sofa at a great price. Amazed I could have it delivered the same day. Good old fashioned polite friendly service. So refreshing in this day and age. Thanks Tony and Anne

This shop is amazing, packed with a wide variety of goods that are collectables, vintage and antique. However the basement is over stocked and we had to climb over furniture to access other pieces. On paying for out items the staff member took our money without even looking up... the 4 stars are for their stock not their customer service.

Lovely place to look around but beware buying furniture. Agree with others about the service. A dreadful attitude from most staff and dealers. Bought a wardrobe because it was marketed as good for narrow stairs as the price included being dismantled delivered and put back together. As I bought several items from different dealers (some of whom refuse to transport each others items) the person who brought it would not put it back together. I was reassured that it was a simple task I could do myself in 5 mins. My handyman and I can't get it to line up correctly. When I raised the issue with the dealer he gave every excuse for not taking responsibility and refused to help. Absolute rip off.

I agree with other reviewers - the shop is amazing and is crammed full of antiques and curios. However, what spoiled each of my visits was the attitude of the staff. They seem to prefer to hide away in little offices out of sight, rather than be on hand to help customers and take their money. If the dealers who rent space in the emporium are paying for and depending on staff to sell their items, they need to ensure that this is happening. On a couple of occasions I've found items that I wished to purchase only to find that there was no-one around to take my money!! After searching round and finding no members of staff, I put the items back and left them - lost sales. I bet I'm not the only one that has had to do this. Even when you do find someone who is prepared to 'help' you, they make you feel that you are being a nuisance. Come on, sort out the customer service here and the business could be booming. Visited again with a friend for a look round. The staff/dealers eyed us up and down as if we shouldn't have been there. How do they expect to sell anything if they don't like customers coming into the shop? One dealer in particular seemed more intent in fiddling about with her display and couldn't be bothered with any customers. Hardly worth putting out a display of goods 'for sale' if you don't want anyone to look at them. The customer service in this place is non-existent. After several visits now and each one worse than the one before in respect of the customer service, I would certainly not venture into this place again.

A fabulous palace to get lost in a world of memories. Full to the brim and stairs only so not easy to navigate of you are more than just yourself. A real treasure trove.
