I recently dined at this restaurant twice with my partner, and I must say, we both were thoroughly impressed! The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The food was simply outstanding. We started with the calamari fritti, and it was probably the best we’ve ever had—crispy, tender, and full of flavor. My partner couldn’t stop raving about the Casarecce Pollo pesto, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. This place has quickly become one of our favorites, and we can't wait to return!
Really nice meal. Lots of great vegan options. The bruschetta was delicious! All the food was great I was with family who ate meat and they all enjoyed their dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant did get quiet around 8:30/9pm which I didn't expect but I suppose in the city centre people maybe were heading out! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan and veggie options here although only vegan dessert was sorbet. Dotted throughout the menu but there's also a separate vegan menu which collates them all.
A very nice place to eat, the food was excellent and the staff were pleasant and courteous.Food: 5/5
Best pizza I've ever had and I've eaten pizza in many countries. Super thin crust. Excellent, friendly service. The profiteroles were delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended and would definitely go again.Food: 5/5
Nipped in, without a reservation, and was accommodated without issue. Ate off the set lunch menu. Food was very tasty, pleasant staff, pretty busy today, and a little loud in the restaurant, would be my only criticism. It's worth a visit
Lovely Italian restaurant in a brilliant part of the city. The presentation of the dishes was well thought out and elegant but the execution of taste was not good enough. Under-seasoned dishes and no option of salt on the table, only pepper. The scallop dish was twice as expensive but it didn't hit the spot. The sundried tomatoes in the dish were perfect but it couldn't bring it up to excellence. The pasta itself was cooked spot on so the chef does know what they are doing but they didn't taste the food before it went out. The pizza was good but nothing to tell your mum about.
I've now tried Amarone in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but i felt Edinburgh edges it. My duck pate was a little bland, under seasoned, and the gnocchetti was not as good as my last visit. That said, the rest of my table thoroughly enjoyed their selections. The wine selection was as fantastic as ever.Food: 3/5
This is the first restaurant I have visited. To be honest, the food is delicious and the staff are nice. I recommend it ‍Food: 5/5
I cannot believe I've never left a review here. I ADORE this place. I was starving when I stumbled upon it and actually intended to go to Chaophraya next door. We ordered bread to start and when we went to order a bottle of wine, a server stopped to discuss it with us. We told him our intended pasta orders and he made a recommendation. In total, we got: A bottle of wine Bread and butter Two pasta dishes One Creme Brûlée One Tiramisu I believe our total was around 110 euros. We had the most lovely experience. We sat outside and I think we dined for nearly two hours. It was lovely. I cannot wait to return when I go back to Glasgow.
Great menu, attentive staff and great atmosphere! Ideal location and close to Queen Street Station. Loved the atmosphere, lovely booths, and a fantastic open plan kitchen so you can watch the chefs work their magic. Can't wait to visit again and disappointed I hadn't tried it before now! Thank you team Amarone for a lovely evening xFood: 5/5
