Fantastic service. A difficult sale was made so much easier with Alphabet City. Caroline was professional and on point, relentlessly chasing solicitors, keeping me updated weekly and arranging remedial repairs to the property prior to the sale. Everything was covered. We’ve first arrived in London in 2022. We found a flat that was available on the market and it was managed by them. Our landlord was in Singapore, a couple. They didn’t speak to us directly, every request we raised go through alphabet city. it was pretty straightforward and easy to submit our request for maintenance issues and the team came back to us pretty promptly. During our stay at that rental flat, we had no issues. About three months away from end of our tenancy, the landlord couple split up, so they decided to sell the property. Sometimes they didn’t give us 24 hours notice for property viewing, but we were able to politely decline their request. At the end of our tenancy, a three party inventory check was performed. They included few old existing marks in the checkout report, and wasn’t included in the check in report. Luckily I took photos and sent them over to the agent right after we moved in. So I highly doubt the credibility of the third-party inventory check. Please do take every record you can when you move in to a rental property and share with the agent to keep proof. Another issue, we weren’t happy about was that according to the tenancy agreement, deposit ought to be returned to the tenant within 10 working days from the day that final amount is agreed between landlord and tenants. We waited patiently for 9 working days, finally, they told me a date when I would receive my deposit, which would be on the 12th working day. I raised this to the property manager, he just told me one of the owners was on holiday so our fund didn’t get released. So apparently they breached the agreement but we got our full deposit back so we didn’t take any legal actions.
Caroline and Michelle have been fantastic contacts from the first visit to completion. The sale has been extremely complex and long but Caroline was able to bring her knowledge and experience at the best times possible to ensure that we were all successful in this process by answering our questions and keeping us informed as soon as she could on any updates she was receiving. We wholeheartedly recommend them
Alphabet City were fantastic with helping us purchase our flat. As first-time buyers, we most probably were not their easiest clients to handle, given we had so many questions for them to answer! But they were patient with us, and were readily available to speak about our case. Caroline and Michelle were the glue that kept our purchase going forward, despite lawyers from either side of the purchase causing the process to be delayed. Caroline and her team helped us every step of the way through our purchase. From the viewing to completion, they kept in touch between us and the seller keeping us all up to date. They are a small team with a personal touch and got to know us and our circumstances to make the process as easy as possible. I wish all estate agents were like this!
Hello, we are a Spanish couple that after a hard time trying to get out of a very unprofessional landlord we found this company, we have felt absolutely great with it, they helped us during the process of renting a new home. They perfectly understood our current difficult situation. Finally today after a few very hard days we rented the property and solved all the problems. Special thanks to Rebekah who has been an absolutely patient and helpful person for us. 100% recommended.
Recommend to rent apartment with them a specially if first time in London, as they took initiative and were very helpful. Rented apartment with them for a few years. Good communication, all issues were addressed and fixed in time. Deposit returned in full within 30 days, and that was again nice and clear.
Estate agent for mostly East London. They are very precise with their checks and paperwork which is a huge plus. A lot of systems are in place like maintenance portals that makes business with this estate agent a very enjoyable experience. You might pay a bit more for the property and it will be worth it.
