It's always a pleasure to visit this place. In my opinion, it's one of West Lothian's most underrated treasures. It exudes a sense of calm, as you can always find somewhere that's far from the madding crowd, even when it's busy.
Absolute gem. Walked Mid Calder to Lin's Mill aqueduct and back. Lovely walk great scenery totally unexpected.
Nice place to walk, good for dogs too. Toilets available near the North Car Park. Some paths may be muddy in places. Boots advisable at this time of year.
Calming country walk, excellent for kids and dog walkers good mix of paths and play areas with picnic seating and has parking at each entrance if needed.
Absolutely stunning place! Holidaying in Scotland and found this place. Me and my partner spent 2hrs walking here, we could of went longer if we didn't have other plans. Such beautiful scenery and peaceful place. We will definitely be going back, but for a longer walk and a picnic.
Several well-defined walks along the side of the river. The area is beautiful and a number of bridges cross over the river and a viaduct, which is stunning.
Lovely, well maintained park. Great for all the family, as it has a play, picnic and BBQ areas, a visitors shop, toilet facilities and plenty of open spaces. Lots of walking paths, some along the river and others allowing you to avoid the water all together. If your lucky you will see some mallard ducks in the water. It can become a little busy in the summer due to the narrow paths but most have the option to reroute half way. The only problem I have is the main path down the park is a steep hill, which cars frequently travel down, so you need to be aware of this if you have dogs or children with you.
Beautiful scenery, interesting mix of trails from paved to muddy and hilly. Well worth visiting. Includes on site parking at North or South car park and there is usually a small coffee can parked at the visitor centre. Have visited here many times.
Recommended for everyone. Really great place for walkers and dog walkers. It’s quite big park.So peaceful and relaxing. Really enjoyed the walk and waterfall views.
