I completed the MBA engineering pathway, class 2013. The programme is fantastic with great subjects, great tutors and a well structured programme. I agree.The quality of overseas students is questionable. The school provides a balanced, flexible MBA programme. The work is intense. I think MBS is only going to get better.

I am currently studying Business Analysis and Strategic Management at the Alliance Manchester Business School and really regret this decision for the following reasons: 1. We are approximately 106 students in the master programme which is just to much and you really just feel like a number. 2. About 75-80% of the students are from China. The origin itself is not the problem, but their poor educational background and working habits in terms of quality. The university addresses that problem by allocating 1 western student to a group of 4-6 Chinese students for the assessed presentations and assignments, knowing that this 1 person will make most of the work to guarantee a certain level of quality. In short, western students are being (mis)used to make the Chinese students pass their master. 3. The quality of the lecturers, respectively the lectures, differs remarkable. Some of the lecturers seem to really enjoy teaching and transmitting knowledge while others rather do what is necessary. Thus, the quality of the lectures varies noticeable, which should not be the case at a business school that considers itself to be world-class. After all, I would really advise to look for other alternatives if you are looking for an excellent business school.
