The Alley Cafe Bar is not a place that you will find easily, unless you have been before but they have a standard menu of Vegetarian, Vegan,  and  Gluten Free food. They also have a mirror with all Vegan food that is more Restaurant food than Cafe food. I had a Aubergine Pepper and Tomato casserole,  served with coconut rice, and a salad, all of which was delicious that was on the Vegan mirror. I had a Berry shake,  again off the Vegan mirror and it was amazing. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.  The staff were happy to help all they could, a great time.

We go to alley cafe regularly and food is always exceptional. However, last time my partner's food had a funny taste so we talked to one of their staff about it. They took the food back to the kitchen, offered to make us something else but since we were in a hurry, we wouldn't have had time. They gave us a refund for his food and were generally very nice about it. My falafel was excellent as always. Excellent customer service, excellent food, keep up the good work guys! We'll be back.

It was packed, I ordered a coffee and a soup, I enjoyed both  but I was still hungry. Looking at the menu they have a Blt not on it and thought let's give it a go, I was expecting the fake bacon 🥓 to be hot but not taste like bacon, but obviously hoping it tasted good. The fake bacon tasted similar to bacon but was stone cold, although it was quite good I was disappointed it was cold.

I got talking to another customer and they said it is up for sale for personal reasons, I hope they get a buyer soon.

Great atmosphere, could do with more seats but that's just because of how popular it is. Great food, especially considering how cheap it is! Lovely staff and just nice and chilled all round. Definitely give it a go, veggie or not!

The optimum vegetarian/vegan cafe/restaurant in Nottingham city centre, with dishes for all tastes, appetites and times of day. Includes daily specials, desserts, gluten-free options etc., and complemented by a nice range of drinks including hot, alcoholic, and smoothies. Not the cheapest but good value given the quality and imagination. Unfortunately rather small, and upstairs so not wheelchair accessible.
