A favourite place in north London. The view all the way to the Shard is spectacular- and a current 2024 highlight is the art work “by the people” which depicts Ally Pally using photos of past and present people who have played a role in- big or small- in the peoples palace history. Just beautiful.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Ally Pally offers a wonderful natural setting. It's a great option for taking a leisurely walk, with plenty of green spaces to enjoy. One of the highlights is the spectacular view of London that you can take in from the palace grounds. It's truly a beautiful spot to unwind and appreciate the city from a distance.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I saw Joe Jackson at the Ally Pally and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The theatre was very good acoustically, and the seats provided a decent view. Just a short walk from the Alexander Palace railway station that serves Moorgate if you're heading back to London. One word of warning, make sure you eat before you arrive as only crisps and sausage rolls are available. I went to the gig straight from work and was famished by the time I came out!
Good venue for a gig, saw The The here and Matt Johnson and the band were utterly superb, with a great two part set. Venue is standing only, making exit and access harder, so a 15min intermission was problematic. Bit of a queue to exit the car park, but expected.Visited onWeekendWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYes
I just wanted to park up and enjoy the view over London it commands, which are quite stunning at night and take a quiet moment. It's unfortunate that since covid, the roadside parking has been closed by ugly concrete and steel anti parking deployments. I had to mount the pavement to park to enjoy the before mentioned views. The pictures aren't very good but I did enjoy the taking and the quiet moment.
Incredible poor bag policy forcing any normal sized bag to be put on a shelf in a container in the car park for £10 with an hour+ wait for the pleasure to do so. The car park container staffed by 2 people while there is a perfectly ordinary looking bag storage inside with 10+ staff that apparently cannot be used.
Alexandra Palace offers an amazing view that truly took me by surprise. It's not just a great place for exhibitions; the beauty of the location exceeded my expectations. The panoramic views over London are breathtaking, and the historic charm of the venue adds to its appeal. Whether you're attending an event or simply exploring, Alexandra Palace is a must-visit spot.
Went to Alexandre palace for a summer gig manics and suede What a great venue for live music. With the banked area, there were no poor viewing despite how far back you may be. The staff on entry and exit were perfect with lots of information on getting in and getting out. Only downside was the security during the concert constantly telling people to move off paths etc in a pretty rude way. But other than that, a great concert venue, will definitely attend another event
I went to Alexandra palace as I've never been before. It's a beautiful building and the views across to the City of London are amazing. I really enjoyed my time there.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Loved it here as a kid. Beautiful, the building is wonderful, theatre has been left rustic to keep its charm, vistas over London are amazing. Plenty of parking. Pub called the Phoenix on site does the most delicious pizza. Crepe man in the van grumpy though.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
