Well priced store, but why stop selling coronation chicken pots and replace it with chicken and sweetcorn . Was always the most popular deli filler compared to the choices, would fly off the shelves yet they stopped selling it...
Always busy but it's what I expected. The only disappointment when it's busy, is there's not enough room in the fresh vegetables/fruit section, so they run out quickly and aren't restocked. Best to check the busy times and try to avoid those so you can then hopefully buy everything on your list.
Pretty nice Aldi all things considered, nice art on the wall in the car park, good selection of ross
Had to return some fruit that was a bit mushy when I opened it. They were really helpful and offered a no quibble exchange or a refund.
Interesting place built next to the old WD and HO Wills Ashton.nnIt has a car park and being recently refurbished, overall is annimprovement.nnIt can get extremely packed, checkouts can look as though people are panic buying, very noisy. Common to all Supermarkets having to negotiate pallets and cages of items being put out in the aisles and avoiding being hit by other shoppers with trolleys and baskets. Can be claustrophobic when busy.nnOther times it can be quite empty and quiet and pleasant. I do note recently they tend to give shoppers time to pack after checkout and there are the packing tables at the back of the checkout. Rather than the mad rush through Checkout and pay, then straight onto the next customer. So, everything gets chucked back in the basket. An improvement now.nnWhat you do get is an extensive range of produce, fresh and frozen. Generally, I found to be of consistently high quality, and you know where it comes from. The Viennese Whirls, the Steaks, fresh Vegetables, prepacked fresh Cream Cakes. Occasionally you can get some gems, Spitfire Ale, Courage Best Bitter, Courage Directors Bitter.nnPrices surprisingly tend to be very good, that is cheaper generally than anywhere else. Even though a great many items are Aldi’s own brand version.nnA key element I think is the irony of a German company and a family business at that, sourcing and stocking far more British produce than some supposedly British Supermarkets!nnOne particular reason to shop here. If you want quality produce at a fair price, this is a place I can certainly recommend!
