Perfectly proportioned space, highest quality food.
A formerly amazing place on the decline. When I first visited the restaurant months ago, it was nothing short of a five-star experience. The staff was lovely and attentive; the food was great and coffee was to-die-for. However it has lost its former glory. The pain au chocolate now rather than being artisanal, seems better suited to come from a pack of six. The killing blow was when I ordered a fried chicken burger and was greeted by THIS refer to attached photo: a sad burnt chicken thigh in a lazily assembled ‘salad’ and buns which would make Buddha cry. The soup was great tho.
Best brunch of the week! The staff was kind enough to let us change our mind a couple of times ^^ Service was quiet fast and the meals were well done well prepared ! Love it. The shop could be improved with more organic products, and typical local products. I Love the whole experience!
Really stays a nice place, especially to start the day. Breakfast / brunch is always a good idea. The only remark ... change the coffee and croissants, the rest of the food is perfect. These 2 need upgrading.
Lovely atmosphere. Went with group of 8 at around midday and wait for table wasn't too long. Great coffee. However food was disappointing. About 40min wait. Veggie breakfast portion size was small and everyone's food was bland. Also around £10 per meal. The pastries looked good, should have gone for one of those!
I had a nice plate of plant-based food, a so-so tomato soup, and a forgettable gin-based cocktail. Nevertheless, it’s still a nice place for lunch. Service is friendly.
Good place to buy your sourdough and some groceries but not the greatest for brunch. The staff is very friendly but the food was just average and slightly overpriced for what you get.
Super busy on weekends, this Shoreditch staple serves mostly traditional English fare with a wee twist here and there. Best for brunch, though it's probably not the best place to linger after your plates have been swiftly cleared.
Nicely presented and tasty food. Good vegetarian and vegan options too. I got the vegetarian breakfast and was fully satisfied!
MOULD IN FOOD! I've had two dining experiences here and they were both disappointing. The menu, the dining area and the fresh produce displayed around the restaurant looks great, but it's not representative of the food. Usually, I wouldn't bother with a negative review, until I was served mouldy food last night. It was bad enough that the steak sandwich was dry and tasteless, the roast chicken tasted like it had been reheated and the cod was clearly defrosted .. but I looked down to see my baked cauliflower was covered in green mould! This really proves my suspicion that the produce used to cook the meals is not fresh! To be clear, the manager handled the situation well, apologising for the mould and did not expect us to pay.. but this is really unacceptable. If this review has saved even ONE person from a disgusting meal then at least I've done my part. DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU DONT ENJOY MOULD
Waitress kind of scoffed at me when I asked her how she was. I guess she was having a bad day. Very nice cake.. but £5.63 is a too too much. I give Albion 3 stars.
