Visited on a Sunday and was able to be seated straight away. It was my first time here and I was impressed. The decor is modern but quite rustic. The menu has lots to chose from however I opted for the buttermilk chicken fried burger with chips and I liked my meal. The pricing is okay… and customer service okay .. no complaints but no compliments. With this said I would happily return
First time visiting Affogato. It has a great menu which includes a variety of omelettes with various fillings which unfortunately was not to my taste, I asked for a plain one and was advised that they couldn't do that !!!!!!! Can't understand that as I would imagine it would have been the simplest to make, so I was a little disappointed. I chose scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and toast instead. The service was good, the place had a great atmosphere and the food is reasonably priced.
I’ve been here before previously and the food is usually great, this time however, the experience has let us down unfortunately. My party of 5 arrived and sat outside at 11.50 and a waitress handed us a QR code slip and stated they have a new online menu. The new menu is filled with spelling errors and descriptions clearly generated by AI. We waited for about 10 minutes before finally going inside to ask someone to take our orders. A waitress came out and we struggled to describe our orders FROM the menu to her, several times she seemed confused over our orders despite using the menu names, attempting to walk away from us when half of us hadn’t even ordered. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times as she wrote them down. When I said my order and asked for an addition from the sides menu, she said “I’ll have to ask the chef” when I showed her it was an option from the sides she nodded and wrote it down. We then waited a further 40 minutes just for our drinks which we had to go inside and remind them of, after going in twice we were brought two coffees by another waiter, who bluntly stated “I don’t know who these are for”. When one member of our party said “is this the oat latte?” He said “Um, I’m not sure” and walked back inside. We were then given a milk latte instead of oat which my lactose intolerant friend had to have sent back. After another member asked about our food, he had to go through the poorly written out notes taken by our waitress as they hadn’t even been passed on correctly. They made him look at the screen with the processed orders which didn’t even include all our orders. Overall this service has been poor, I fully understand that staff can become overwhelmed but for one member of my party to only finally receive water, an hour after ordering is not great. In the end we had to rush eating our meal so that we could make our trains, I highly suggest a full recheck of this new menu system since our experience here is usually so lovely. Not once did we receive an apology for any of the above.
I love this place. As a non Muslim who doesn’t eat I find it really hard to fine a good breakfast/brunch spot. This place has the best Turkey bacon I’ve ever had and the pancakes are so fluffy. I saw the stack and thought it would fill me us put it did. So filling. Staff are very nice. The chips and burger are very juicy but also have a good crunch. No service charge. Accept all cards including Amex.
Small portions with the smallest curry flavoured “beef sausages” cold chicken slices but a well cooked egg a weird “toast” with hints of olive oil and a homemade pancake. Mixed feelings on the food but the coffee is weak and not for “coffee lovers” the price doesn’t reflect on the portion sizes nor quality and a very confusing service.Food: 3/5
Waitress took about 10 minutes from sitting down to come take an order didn't seem to understand what I wanted to order so I had to show her the on the menu. Really just seems like she didn't want to be there. Full halal English was nice, coffee was passable but at £17.50 with a service charge I wouldn't return
Had the Mexican omelette with a side of pancakes! Oh my, the fluffiness, the taste. Everything cooked to perfection. Lovely helpful staff and great ambiance. Highly recommend Food: 5/5
Atmosphere, coffee & staff, everything is above expectations. Their cappuccino is good and specially the guy named AB was so polite and humble to explain us everything we asked from menu.Food: 5/5
