Tickle Me Sandwich Bar

Asked for a jerk chicken in coco bread with coleslaw for £5 and what i got was dry chicken, chopped up really finely and definitely not cooked today, in dry bread with a scraping of mango chutney. I expected salad, but not one bit of leaf to be seen. It was one of those where it was so dry that it was hard to swallow. Hate to say it but jerk in coco at Patty King is 100 times better for less at £3.50; moist, fresh, delicious and with salad!

Absolutly recommended foods.It is fresh, it tastes amazing, it is colourful, full of beautiful flavour. I was served by lovely staffs.I got beautiful cakes for free for the kids.The price is reasonable.Thanks so much for such a beautiful restaurant.Thank you to the chefs for such amazing food.

Really great Jerk Chicken, I would highly recommend. It gets busy at lunch so orders can be a bit slow but definitely worth the wait. Also, the carrot cake is amazing, I would definitely get a slice!

Asked for extra gravy. Pasta was as if they just thrown it in with no love for cooking

I visited here for the first time since the beginning of the original lockdown as I remember the mouth watering stew fish and the soft, but brilliantly seasoned ackee and salt fish. What a disappointment!!!!! Maybe the head chef is self-isolating cause the fish was dry and the rice and peas was not cooked properly. So much so that I could see the grains of uncooked rice and decided to highlight these in the picture attached. The only reason I gave them a 3 star, is cause I still have distant memories of when this was a good taste of the Caribbean. It has seriously gone down hill though, so I hope I am right and the chef does get better soon. However if I am wrong then you need to seriously think about hiring a new chef... will I go back or recommend ? No ....True flavours Caribbean restaurant is just down the road.

I refuse to buy from here anymore. Food is very over priced, with the most popular meal steak and rice usually swimming in oil nowdays and the BIGGEST reason for not coming here anymore is WHYYYYYY are your customers STILL not allowed to come into the shop for their food? Got your paying customers queing up outside in the street in all weather's for their food like peasants? How customers are excepting this treatment from this restaurant when paying for a service is madness! Customers are still parting with their money buying their over priced food and standing around in the street waiting for it and no one sees this as madness. What makes it even worse they have a vegan shop ajacent to this one and customers are allowed in to buy their food? Make it make sense? Come on people start using your voice and stop allowing this nonsense behavior continuing.

Amazing food. Delicious and seriously good . The owners abit moody. But relised its every Caribbean takeaway. If the owner is moody the food is good .

Pepper steak was nice but dry with noo gravy. Chicken curry couldn't even be called curry, it was bland and no sauce at all which is a joke considering I asked for extra gravy! Had to post a pic even though a little bit was taken out of the container Asked for rice and peas but was given plain rice in all of the meals. Funnily enough, the guy serving was trying to push white rice onto everybody ordering food.... Ridiculous to think food of that quality is worth £8.50 per meal! Such a shame as their pepper steak is famous round here which is why I decided to go.

I had to leave a review for this food shop. Before I would sing their praises but now , the food is abysmal and lacks flavour or taste. I just ordered a steak with rice and peas and belive me when I say thus, the food was dry with not an ounce of gravy, also, it seemed like the steak was cooked yesterday and didn't taste fresh at all. To think I just paid £11 for a large meal that ended up in the dustbin is horrific. I personally belive that the owner has made so much money over the years, that now he feels he doesn't have to put the effort into the food anymore and that attitude stinks. I won't be going back here again, instead I will go to 127 hearne Hill where the food is delicious and very tasty and a much better service overall.

Couldn't get through to another local restaurant so rang here as used to enjoy over a decade ago. Called to make an order for collection on Sunday, really bad attitude on the phone. I asked how much the total came to and was told basically that I'd have to work it out cause they didn't have a calculator, was issued a collection number and hung up on. The friend collecting mixed up the restaurants and went to collect at the usual place. I called to cancel the order and before I could offer to pay or apologise was hung up on again. After reading reviews I'm glad I didn't eat here anyways. If this is the usual customer service I'm surprised anyone goes at all. I get the running joke about attitude at Caribbean take aways, but this? No thanks
